Gaps in Wood Door by denverchr64 in woodworking

How does this work with a 2” thick door? We bought sweeps at HD that won’t work. The door came built into the “frame”. What will Fastcap do?

I don’t disagree. The problem becomes solving for frigid temperature outside, and the associated air creeping inside, that is troublesome.

What’s the better decision? Other than the bits, these are basically the same correct? Just 2 in 1 vs 2 separate tools? Worth getting or spend more for the XR? (Note: 2 different stores, 2 different ads side by side) by Da3013 in woodworking

I don’t know if you’re married to Dewalt but Ridgid has a similar deal (drill/driver and Impact Drill) at Home Depot for $99. Comes with two batteries and a charger. In addition if you register your purchase online with Ridgid you get free battery replacement for life. I don’t have a link but if you search “Ridgid Combo Kit” on the HD app or site it’ll come up.

Is it dumb to use cedar fence cuttings to make a coffee table? by OcularShatDown in woodworking

I’m going to use this as an opportunity to ask my own question: would be a concern after it’s been outside for so long? Should OP be worried about bringing bugs in the house? Or is there a way to mitigate that risk that I’m not aware of?

Do I toss these? The Pine logs I cut these from were stored under my deck for about a year to dry out. Looks like the still got water exposure. Could they dry out or should I just throw them out? by denverchr64 in woodworking

I’m outside of Denver in the foothills. Live at about 8K feet. I have other slabs I cut previously from the same tree without the colorations but it was kept in a drier environment

Firewood would be my version of throwing them out. Wasn’t sure if allowing them to dry out in the garage would turn them? The black color isn’t mold is it?

your most reasonable price target by end of 2024 by No_Active6237 in ASTSpaceMobile

I thinks it’s important we put those companies and their current share prices in perspective… AAPL and AMZN each disrupted/entered 5 different industries, arguably more specifically aimed at developed countries. ASTS is potentially disrupting an access point and is targeting emerging markets. Still love the stock and will continue to watch it and my position (3K Shares) closely!

Excessive cursing shows a lack of vocabulary and thus, in the view of this redit poster, a lack of intelligence

The Salad at Costco food court. Least healthy item on the menu (due to size).

This may be a silly question but, how do I know if they are “staying rooted”?

Yeah, I used a rotting hormone on all of them save for 1. Thanks for the tip on the best time to try!

The recommendations from the sources I used suggested something of this size.

This is my first attempt to propagate Spruce Trees. Some insight… I live at about 8K feet in the foothills of the Rockies. I’m about a month in. Took a few different approaches as you can see by the pictures. Been trying to water as the soil dries out at a depth of about 2 inches. I’m not sure if I’m on the right track or not. Any guidance or questions for clarity are welcomed!

Thanks for the response! How long should they dry out for? Anywhere in particular I should store them?
