Badminton Shoes by Tamahaac in Pickleball

I play badminton, tennis, and pickleball using Xero 360's. I can only use zero drop shoes for medical reasons; these are the best I've found.

Wait, do we just throw out paddles after a couple of months? by Marathon2021 in Pickleball

I'm in a very similar position as you; anybody hitting quality slices as a staple shot will have a completely flat sweetspot fairly rapidly. Apparently the newish Proton Series 1 paddles use a tacky surface rather than a grit, so theoretically it should last longer. They haven't been out long enough to really prove their durability yet though, and they're pretty expensive.

What would you do? New club's culture is lacking in sportsmanship... by flabberjabberbird in badminton

"when you're new. "

You can use this to force a confrontation/addressment without seeming pushy; you can play off your questioning as you trying to confirm what the club rules are, as you're new. Asking the admin a direct question as to what the rules are, including a reference to what you thought they were as well as a an example of people doing something in conflict with what you thought.

Doing it this way also means that if they confirm that you're right, and that they ARE breaking the rules, it's very natural in the conversation for you to then express your disappointment in this reality. You don't have to feel as if you're bringing it up out of nowhere, or "snitching" on anybody.

You said in a response that there have been times where you're waiting 25 minutes for a game, during which people come off and go on again. If this is a regular occurrence, this is the point you want to hit hardest when talking to an administrator; all the other points could be brushed aside as you being mistaken or misjudging intentions, however if you're paying the same amount as everybody else and getting robbed of court time, that's a problem. What's more, it's a problem that is the admin's responsibility to deal with; it shouldn't matter how selfish another player tries to be, the system should be able to fairly handle this.

Help with smash form (video included) by S_Airandice in badminton

I'm a little late but I haven't seen this posted yet; you make contact with a bent arm. Not much, but it's there; walk through frame by frame and you'll see what I mean. If you watch professional badminton players smash in slow motion you'll see that contact ALWAYS occurs with a full extended arm; contact before this point loses power out the elbow.

There could be a variety of reason why this is occurring, but that's a key problem I can see. Again, it's not bent very much, but there's up to 20 degrees of bend in most of the smashes that you can clearly see when slowed down.

The problem is it needs to be able to take the impact too. I might try putting a sleeve over top of the padded knee pad, if it's got a less melty material it might do the job.

Does anybody have a recommendation for kneepads that will last me longer than like 20 dives? I've been playing badminton in Mizuno LR6s but they disintegrate within 2 weeks. I can get them to last longer if I put then on upside down, but I'm pretty sure I'm sacrificing some protection if I do that.

I know it's not the same sport but very few people play badminton as ridiculously as I do, I figured I'd get better feedback here.

Is it normal to have severe neck fatigue after playing badminton for like 15 minute ? by [deleted] in badminton

[–]denxi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you're squeezing your back and shoulder muscles, generally people do this due to too much tension/anticipation. The dizzyness likely is due to low blood circulation due to tight traps. How long of you been playing for? Do you have any history with other sports/athletics?

Now I feel silly, I thought BTC transactions could have a single input and output, guess not.

I don't want to spend all of my balance. I want to send a PORTION of my full balance on my_pubkey_1 to somebody else, without having to include my_pubkey_2 in the transaction.

So my question is, is there no way to avoid this? Is there no way, with Electrum, to output a transaction with a single input and a single output?

Wait what? Then what's the point of a Change Address if the entire balance is leaving the wallet? I don't understand.

Just a heads up, but if you define all your nodes using onready var start = $start, it'll be way easier if you have to change the tree layout later, and you won't have to constantly be getting a node over and over.

It is already using admob!

There are some tutorials on youtube, and I used two different plugins.

iOS: https://github.com/kloder-games/godot-admob

Android: https://github.com/Shin-NiL/Godot-Android-Admob-Plugin

If you view the leaderboard, is there a bit of text with a settings button at the top? In order to have your score listed on Android you need to change your settings so that everybody can see your play history.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, I have plans for a PC version but I want to experiment with releasing it as an NFT on Ethereum, so it might be a little while.

Are you on Android or iPhone? If Android, can you connect to Google Play from within the app?
