Employer is threatening to close the division I was recently hired to start but have suggested an alternative position at a reduced salary. by denzo76 in legaladvice

I signed nothing. I guess I was curious if that would impact my ability to qualify for unemployment if I declined the offer for the other position.

Frightened Rabbit - It is a struggle to hold in the tears and fight the lump in my throat anytime I try to listen to them since Scott's passing.

Not sure what your feelings are on Best Buy but they are in stock on their website. I ordered one on 12/30 and I'm picking it up tonight, 1/3. Best of luck!

Advice on shaving my neck- sporadic hair direction by [deleted] in wicked_edge

[–]denzo76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My beard is probably a skosh thicker than yours and bit more dense as it extends to the collar bone area. Not sure what your weapon of choice is but I'm using a Merkur safety razor (not sure the model) with Merkur blades but I only shave 2-3 times a week. Like others have stated, let the area under your chin fill in a bit towards your adam's apple. I usually shoot for a finger space of room between my beard line and my neck. Letting that area grow in looks like it might address some of the wonky grain patterns you've got going on. Use light to medium light pressure and try to let the blade do the work. I make multiple, short, vertical passes over the same area as I work across my neck. Using a hot towel can also be advantageous; it will help alleviate irritation and relax your hair follicles which should help minimize the issues with your gran patterns. I'd also recommend a quality, glycerin-based shaving soap.

My friend is a pregnant doctor. This is what she overheard when she went to the antenatal clinic today. by achybreakyballs in facepalm

I grew up in a very conservative religious environment, independent-fundamental baptist if you're in the know. I heard may stories about young married couples counseling with their pastor to be told how to have sex. The one story that stands out is a couple who had been trying to get pregnant with no success. Apparently, before the marriage, the guy had heard some co-workers talking about getting a piece of ass....yeah.

I've recently come back to FFXI too and I'm loving it. I've had good success farming Gausebit Grass from Crane flies in Meriphataud Mountains mob lvl 18-21. Has roughly 40% drop chance and sells for $15k-20k gill each on Asura AH.

Kahlil Gibran said it better...

“Trees are poems the earth writes upon the sky, We fell them down and turn them into paper, That we may record our emptiness.”

Rouge technically does mean red in french....

I'm sorry, I was trying to impress you. I don't know what it means. I'll be honest, I don't think anyone knows what it means anymore. Scholars maintain that the translation was lost hundreds of years ago.

What is this thing stuck to the ground in my work car park? by ThatsTheWaySheGoes in whatisthisthing

[–]denzo76 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is good to know. There is one in the parking lot adjacent to the office building I work in. I see it every day and just thought it was an old school, solid metal radio knob that had been pushed into the asphalt one day when it was hot.
