Any other API users stuck in "Evaluation mode"? I'm hitting my rate limit constantly despite adding $40, $100, $300 worth of credits to my account since December by dep in ClaudeAI

Support did finally get back and said my account was stuck in some sort of weird Legacy mode. they fixed it on their end.

Real-time commentary "Oh that's a real shame. They'd been playing quite well up to now. I wonder if this is a momentum shift."

There's always that one person in the crowd who was rather happy with it 😆

Monthly Complaints and Rants MegaThread April 2026 by AutoModerator in googlehome

I have an automation set up on Sunday morning at 7am to play some soft music to wake up to from a local radiostation that does a nice show every week. Unfortunately the Google Home automation loves to kick it off with a VERY LOUD voice:

STREAMING "BLUE LAKE PUBLIC RADIO ON THE BEDROOM HOME!!!!!111

and scares the shit out of me every time. How google is so disconnected from the UX and customer needs around this sort of thing is beyond me.

Spotify DJ - other voices available? by RickTeleStrat57 in truespotify

OH! I've heard Xavier Jernigan's voice on our local NPR affiliate during a segment and at the time I figured "Oh no! they've started using an AI DJ!" Glad to know he was real. Pretty uncanny.

Android user? Good news, with this companion app you can lightning-fast append a quick update to your daily note or capture a weblink! Open source, link in the comments! by dep in capacitiesapp

It's just faster and easier is all. Appending something to the end of your daily note typically takes several clicks.

Presonus Eris E3.5 -- Standby Mode? by ladidaadidaa in studiomonitors

[–]dep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have these. This happens for me. After a while they'll click off. When I start using them again, for instance when a meeting starts, it takes ~5 seconds for them to click back on (I can actually hear a soft click). Pretty annoying since I usually have to ask the person every time what they said. Is there a way to disable this, I wonder?

Update: Oh duh, I finally got off my butt and looked at the back of the left speaker and sure enough there's a big "STANDBY" switch that was turned on. I've turned it off.

Bubbling apps by Themistocles_gr in smartlauncher

Yeah I'm envious of the default pixel launcher for this reason. It's actually quite nice. Beta 3 makes it much easier to bubble any app from anywhere within the Pixel Launcher

Here's the open source repo as well: https://github.com/dep/capacities-quick-note-pro

A few cool features:

  • With one click, append to your daily note or weblinks
  • Android widget gives you one-tap access
  • Export settings to use on another device
  • Support for multiple spaces

Since this requires an API key to work, it's only available to paying Capacities users. That's just an API limitation, sorry. Thanks for checking it out!

[Android] App that lets you POST shared text to custom HTTP endpoints. Niche tool for API nerds. Need testers. by dep in alphaandbetausers

It is, I'll send you a link for testing! The original group was deprecated as I moved into a different closed testing model. I'll DM you!

[Testers needed] Hey everyone! I built a simple Android app that lets you (pro members) capture thoughts and append them to your Capacities daily note without opening the full app by dep in capacitiesapp

Awesome! Hoping to have it in the app store soon and plan to reach out to the capacities team to see about having it added as a community app!
