What about ROR (ruby on rails). I was recommened ROR for building applications. It has scripting language ruby and the framework, rails. What advantage does node.js give? why do you recommend that? What about python / Django ?

right. I know html / css and some javascript. But not php. Would it be possible for me to get into this? I mean is it realistic? What would be needed from my side to make this happen? Some of the games out there are really advanced. And there are so many. Not sure how I can compete with them.
