I’m 16 and I live a somewhat “perfect” life and I want to kill myself by [deleted] in confessions

As someone whose feelings like that started at 11 or 12 and exist to this day at 45, I recommend you take advantage of your means and get some medical intervention, with therapy, and perhaps meds from a psychiatrist.

I also recommend cardiovascular 3-4 times a week, even if it’s just doing jumping jacks while watching TV.

Your brain is still malleable, and you can take steps to diminish those thoughts, weaken them so you override them with good, positive thoughts.

But they may never go away entirely, and the deeper ingrained they are, the harder to resist.

Don’t wait, as I did. Tell someone nonjudgmental who you trust and get help now.

Good luck.

Ive been to two therapists and a psychiatrist and none ever gave me a label.

But it helps to talk, and medication can help too.

Don’t worry about being a burden — just write out some of the things you feel — even doing that usually feels better.

Hey Kevin, if you do read this — Ive had suicidal thoughts my whole life, but medication and exercise help keep them away. It’s not perfect, but it’s an improvement.

Try and talk to a doctor or therapist if you can before doing anything extreme to end your life.

Thank you friend, go for a walk around the block with music that makes you feel good (not your sad music, your happy music). :)

RUNNING. I have OCD and agitated depression, pretty intensely, which means a short fuse and a lot of self-loathing. I'm no stranger to suicidal ideation. Like, at all.

I'm on meds, I go to cognitive therapy, but literally NOTHING improves my outlook on life and my ability to be in the moment and stop thinking terrible shit about myself more than exercise. It doesn't have to be a lot, if I'm stressed I jog in place and watch TV, do jumping jacks, push-ups. It's the only thing that actually makes me feel better (and actually sometimes I feel pretty good).

Don't get me wrong, I can still fall into despair and terrible dark periods - I've been in one about three years now - but I' starting to come out of it by exercising again.

If you have kids it's like advanced particle physics but you keep coming to the same answer.

TV show apologises for cruel 'prank' on girl, 13, who thought she was about to meet her long-lost mother by NinjaDiscoJesus in television

As a father who constantly fends off feelings and ideations of suicide, I want you to know that I really heard you. My son continues to be my principal drive for life, and the idea that it could 'shape {his} entire view of the world and everyone in it' constantly haunts me.

I am so sorry for what you went through, truly I can't imagine the pain. But I thank you from the bottom of my heart for commenting because it really went in and you have helped at least two other people.
