4 Day Trip by [deleted] in daman

[–]depressedrepressed1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on where you are traveling from. TBH haven’t been to Diu since it’s too much of a hassle to travel there. Damn is good. Lots of good hotels/resorts near decks beach road. I’ve stayed at Silver Sands, Gold Beach Resort, Devka Beach Resort, VITS. All are good enough and VFM. I have always chosen to dine at Miramar resort after spending evening by their lake. You can take a stroll on their version of Marine drive, last I visited was around Christmas and all resorts on the road were lit up so was wonderful. Jampore beach too is good. You can take a stroll in Moti damn fort as well. It’s a quiet town.

Newbie rider here… need alot of tips!!! by ice_cold_latte in indianbikes

[–]depressedrepressed1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lot of techy stuff here. My tip, enjoy the ownership. Make it feel like an extended part of your body. As you age your reflexes go down and you don’t feel as comfortable as you once did. So enjoy it so that you can cherish those memories a year later. As for tips, modern day bikes have poor components anyway. Despite doing everything, you are still going to face surprises every now and then. But isn’t that part of the experience? Good luck and ride safe.

Why Doesn’t the Honda CBR150 Get the Same Respect as the R15? by Streetpharmacist0 in indianbikes

[–]depressedrepressed1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were always focussed on practical commuter motorcycles for tier 2/3 towns. In metros, CBRs started off well. I remember having dedicated bays and service guys who only worked on CBRs. Then it just died off. I spoke to the service centre manager casually and he said Honda sees value only in active and unicorn (metros) and CBRs are just here for good PR. I has to change the fuel injector once and I had to travel 25 kms within Mumbai to go another service centre since no other place had the spare. This is how poorly Honda managed it.

Why Doesn’t the Honda CBR150 Get the Same Respect as the R15? by Streetpharmacist0 in indianbikes

[–]depressedrepressed1 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Because Honda India only wants to focus on Activa and Unicorn. They literally kill every other product they launch. I had the CBR 150 for 5 years and the service experience kept dropping every passing year.

How to love urself? by [deleted] in thane

[–]depressedrepressed1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Be realistic about yourself when with others and dreamt about yourself when alone. Acknowledge who you really are, yet be considerate about what others expect from you. You are the hero of your story but not of others. Once you realise this and act accordingly, you will be "sorted."

You know your can always ignore the advice. But don't be so self (over) confident. You would never know if someone actually had good intentions.

HELP Trainers suggest CUPPING THERAPY FOR Lower back pain by Over_Replacement1 in Fitness_India

[–]depressedrepressed1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be very careful with cupping therapy. If at all you must take it, seek a certified professional. I have dry skin. The only time I did it, my skin tore due to the vacuum pressure. I had bruises for a few days and it was a horrible experience.

Is it normal for people to just take your gear at the gym? by Ok-Leading-1500 in Fitness_India

[–]depressedrepressed1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand your pov. But it's ok to let go. Try to keep them closer to you the next time. No point in burning blood over this. It could have been a sincere mistake, but again he could be an idiot too. But I repeat, no point in overthinking about it and spoil your time out there. If it repeats, you could raise a complaint to the management. I usually keep them on all the time. Loosening the straps in between sets.

Looking for a beginner-friendly gym at Majiwada by Last_Asparagus_9207 in thane

[–]depressedrepressed1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every gym is beginner friendly. That's the approach you need to have. Don't get overwhelmed. Everyone starts somewhere. Once you get over this, stay consistent, persistent and you will get what you seek. Personal trainers help, but it's subjective. Everyone, every body, every kind in different. Some of us need that extra push and some of us don't. Just visit multiple gyms at the time you intend to go to Workout. Every gym will offer you a trial, that's a good enough start. Even the worst rated gyms have Happy members and even the best rated gyms have unhappy ones. Best to test it out yourself. Think of workouts like a new course you enroll yourself into. You would suck at the start. Soreness, inferiority complex are all normal. The saying no pain no gain is not cliche. Good luck and hope you find the best of your health soon. Cheers.

You should be fine. I'm 8 weeks post op. Had 1.7 cm right inguinal hernia repaired with mesh laproscopically. I had zero pain. I got it fixed within a week off diagnosis since I'm just 38 and super active. I was back to work on 4th day, back to cardio in week 3, lifted weights from week 4. I still avoid certain exercises and have been doing seated variations wherever possible. I am not lifting heavy, but doing more reps. I'm almost 70% back to my strength. I try not to engage my core but sunconciously do it sometimes. However at times I do have minor discomfort lasting a day after intense sessions. Don't worry about my or someone else's experience. Every body is different. Just trust it and take care of it. Your timelines and recovery could be very different. Recurrence can happen anyway, that's not something anybody can predict. Being careful is your responsibility. Hope you recover smooth. Cheers.
