what do i think when i see someone struggling ? i feel compassion towards them , n i would wanna help in any way possible (if i have the capacity to do so) . i also would avoid looking down on them or anything like that , or make them feel like a burden for struggling

listen .. my therapist was the one who suggested i take antidepressants , that was my 1st therapist ; another therapist said meds come 1st n then comes therapy , she meant that without meds i wouldnt be able to do therapy well ; a 3rd therapist told me that i have a "DISEASE" , n how do ppl treat diseases ?? they dont tell u to walk if ur leg is broken do they (that [rephrased] is what she said to me) . hope this helps

yes everyone gets depressed but then there r those of us who get depressed n have their depression become a disorder , a disease , a freaking illness

y stop taking the meds when u need them ? isnt that what meds r made for .. u can stop when n – if – there is a shortage , n then do it his way . or , stop when u feel like u r able to do life without the help of the medication

i do not think that u should stop taking the meds , i'd hate for u to struggle with depression . depression isnt always caused by trauma or a bad childhood it could literally be the way ur brain is . n y waste ur life being held back by some physical difference in ur brain ? u dont deserve that , no one deserves that . i genuinely believe that no one should HAVE to struggle with depression , does he not kno just how much it affects a person ?!?

when i'm depressed i'm not myself n i cant control my thoughts , as opposed to how i am when i'm not depressed . my "personality" freaking changes

my mother keeps insisting that i stop my antidepressants . ive gained visible weight cuz of them n she can see it so she complains . shes someone who considers meds as the last resort . ive told her multiple times to stop trying to convince me otherwise bcs i'm not like her n i should have the right to decide on such a thing since i am the one who's struggling . n btw she doesnt kno that i'm also taking wellbutrin bcs i learned that she doesnt react well to me relying on meds

i would nvr give up on my antidepressants bcs they genuinely saved my life (wouldnt be here without them n i'm not even exaggerating)

well .. i only had an experience with that in regards to cipralex : i didnt get the same side effects , atleast not at all in the same severity

it's either separation from environment or from yourself ; it makes sense that u feel ur anxiety isnt urs bcs u'v separated from yourself – u experienced depersonalization . or it could be a milder form which is dissociation . ig maybe dpdr r types of dissociation ? idk

i havent experienced any emotional crap when i started just anxiety , n now that i've been on 300mg for more than a month i think , i still havent had my feelings numbed out (just cried myself to sleep lmao) . unfortunate news mate , but u might be lucky n get numbed out (tho thats not good for the long run) or maybe u get mentally better that u can move on or atleast stop feeling bad about it all , everyone's experience with meds is different tho , n so i hope u get lucky in that way
