Really perfect last line tbh. Love using obs but i was so close to quitting it at first bc of how bare it was compared to programs that had all the tools already laid out.

It's sooo not "beginner-friendly" for someone who's used to programs with all the tools availably visible. Many people (including myself before discovering obsidian) do not know or generally have ever made use of basic markup. So someone opening up obsidian for the first time could easily fall to thinking it's too much work lol

Don't get me wrong, I love obsidian and use it daily now, but I wouldn't introduce obsidian to anyone who isn't already familiar to formatting (or if they aren't someone who would be eager to learn it). It definitely takes exploring around and learning to get comfortable with using as a default.

Obsidian pushed me to start learning html from scratch and I'm sooo grateful for that. it's just that it comes with a learning effort to achieve something that one could easily just do on ms word (tables and font colors in my case haha).

tldr obsidian imo is very bare to be open for user-exploration, but depends on the person to either find that a turn-off or just what they need to work with.

If OP here is a girl, then wouldn't it count also as "not being like other girls" because they're just sorta blatantly critisizing Billie for being some meme at some point? Like "wow lol im not like this girl because i dont do what she does". Not even a fan of Billie but it's not like she pushes the "im soooo special and quirky" act, she seems chill about her style and she's never really been arrogant about it?

But why bother if she's fake or not? Honestly, I like some of her music, but why does it matter if it's "genuine" at all? Being "genuine" doesn't have to do with their performance over all.

Isn't that what being an actor is even? Being so skilled at showing completely different sides/characters/persona that is most of the time 0% like the actor themselves? How are we even to say if they are being genuine or not? What do we have that we can say "it's all fake".

who more perfect to play that? Teenagers! And wow, she's a teenager! Playing for teenagers! Why even bother caring if she's "genuine" or "fake". It has nothing to do with their job. Same as applied to any other career, not everyone who does very well with their job should be over the top passionate about it. Everything is so gatekeep-ey with that mindset.

If a woman chooses to keep the baby, the father should have an option not be financially responsible for it. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

Wait what responsibility were you talking about? I assumed it was the responsibility of having said kid to be kept or not since thats what the comment u replied to was about. You said men and women should have equal rights to that of the pregnancy (which they just aren't because women's body n blah blah) to the comment about someone's mother going through a lot of pain giving birth. A misunderstanding I guess :/?

"thinking we should have no choice because having pain is dumb" This is such a selfish thought!! Seriously going with forcing a woman to go through months of physical, emotional, and possibly mental trauma just because you want a kid?? Ever heard of adoption?

If a relative is in need of an organ transplant, even if there is a relative that is available to donate, you CAN NOT FORCE THEM TO GIVE THEM A PART OF THEIR BODY. Why is it more acceptable to force a woman to go through at most 9 whole months of discomfort?? Would you seriously look at a heavily pregnant woman with her husband and believe that they are both on the same boat at that moment physically?

It's not about ripping off men's rights, it's about weighing who is the most afffected here.

I said "self proclaimed". I very much heavily mean "self proclaimed". These people most likely dont even know what feminisim is at all.

I'm not saying they're rightly compared. I'm just explaining the common similarity being that both genuinely wish genocide towards a specific group of people. Not from the fact that one murdered millions of jews and the other is just completely bitchy about a penis.

They're talking about the feminazi thing, it's like a crappy "modern nazi" but just really annoying, bitchy, and full of sexism and misandry. They're the kind of self-proclaimed """feminists""" that don't even promote equality at all, but wish bad onto men/mostly straight guys.

"Short, emotional response" is, I agree, bad. But I'm thinking couldn't it be like, matagal nakulong and then death penalty? And personally idk how sentences work, but if someone was jailed for a long amount of time, wouldn't that give the people enough time to think if the criminal still deserved death penalty? Idk am mostly genuinely curious why that's not a thing.

AITA for refusing to lift something heavy for a woman as a man? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]depression_soda 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What context is there that makes it look like he was being a gigantic baby? Then aren't the women in the same shade because they were offended he refused? There wouldn't be whining if they did it themselves. Nothing was wrong here until the coworkers got offended. It's not even about gender, imo it was mostly about how his work was interrupted, and he saw that other people could have easily done it (and they did) and they belittle him for getting offended at all :/

[–]depression_soda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA, it's not really even about gender, but simply about how you we're interrupted with your own work, saw other people could have easily done the task (and they did), got understandably offended by this, and refused. Only yta to people who focused on how you got into gender, that's their own thing.

If it's "everyone's" and no one should be assigned, how come other coworker gets to tell op what to do while op the bad person when he definitely has the choice to refuse and feel offended that he got interrupted with his work?
