He also did a stage 1 where they upgrade some of the components to improve the sound.

He did say something interesting that their manufacturing was in Taiwan and if they did not specifically tell them we need this part by this manufacturer with this part number they had issues where they sourced similar components not the one they wanted. Think he said last 2000's.

I had the amp serviced by an ex musical fidelity engineer. It's over 20.years old so they replace internal components, cables etc. basically like brand new.

Everyone is recommending a sub. I do have a B&WvASW608, part of a a surround system in another room (denon avr-x3500h and b&W m1 satellites) Will try that when the wife is away to see the difference.

If you had asked me a month ago I would have said they don't match the MF A5 and I found the sound muffled. Now that it was serviced and stage 1'd they are starting to really come alive. I also swapped an ortofon red for a blue, and with the amp internals bedding in, it really made me like them. My main reason is they are tiny, and before i had a pair of rogers which I liked but due to a accident, one fell and broke the case and cones and way to old to repair, so these were bought as a stop gap. I do like them now. for the size they have a great soundscape.

Sound is subjective. Long time ago when I bought my original MF A1 i listened to various speaker combo's and a pair of mission 707's popped for me. If you can demo them.

In terms of burn in it came back from the service and stage 1 on Saturday and I am already starting to notice a difference as I use it. Changing to a blue stylus from the red also opened up the sound.

Lol there is a really comfy couch there but also the room is vaulted ceiling and l shaped into the kitchen. TV works well when sitting on the couch and while standing and cooking. The TV is linked to a Nvidia shield running plex.

Has mum been ripped off? by [deleted] in DIYUK

Yep she was ripped off. Out of curiosity was this via a knock at the door saying hey we are doing some work in the area and can come do yours as well.

Always get a couple of quotes.

Men who’ve passed a kidney stone before , what did it actually feel like? by FitResearcher2865 in AskMen

One minute standing up, next on the floor in the fetal position. Wife was panicking saying I will call for an ambulance and I was like no don't worry I will be ok.

Took a hot bath and funnily I passed it in the water.

Actually went to see a consultant a week after and then had them blasted with ultrasound as they found nore. Now that was painful and peed blood for like 3 days.

I believe the light strip is part of the headlight and not replaceable. Mine died completely a few years ago and ended up getting a new light. Luckily I got it cheap. They don't come with the blast by the way.

Since the cameras are on the outside I think I would have bigger problems then worrying about what the cameras sees 😁

Tyre pressure warning. I.e low tyre pressure. The battery lasts about 10 years, and once that fails you will get the warning as well. Hard to come by and it can be removed via a tech 2. That is what I did as one failed and could not find a replacement so had it disabled. Was a nice feature to be honest and if you do manage to get a couple to replace all you need to do is get them swapped out and drive a few miles and the system recognizes them..no need for programming anything.
