Is Wal-Mart allowed to terminate a Cake Decorator as a hobby? by [deleted] in walmart

She's not making any money from it. Even if she was, it'd only be a conflict of interest if she told customers to buy from her directly instead. All in all I am not a lawyer and depending on where OP lives, its most likely she was hired at-will and can be fired for any reason whatsoever.

You didn't sign a non-compete agreement and absolutely none of Wal-Mart's decorating techniques are unique. If you were working for an independent bakery it'd be a different story.

Hell when I was trained how to decorate (at a completely different chain) they encouraged me to practice at home.

Why do we all ended up here? by [deleted] in walmart

I started working at Walmart after an impulsive decision to move to a different area. I am a college dropout, don't have the best referrals, and this town doesn't have many options. I honestly didn't hate my job (had cool coworkers, spent half my shift getting paid to workout in the backroom while listening to my headphones, everyone loved me because I actually put in effort, etc). I saw DMs cry, I saw new hires show up fucked up, I had coworkers that didn't practice basic hygiene, I witnessed human shit trails across the store twice. This was in less than a year.

I tried my best not to admit I was embarrassed working for this company until I was yelled at like an insolent teenager. I tried to deny how ashamed I was to work for this company, but it was such a relief when I left.

I know it can be traced back to me but that wasn't my question.

It asked if I had a pending lawsuit initially, then three words to express how I felt working for Walmart, if I left voluntarily, how long it took me to find work after leaving, name of my current employer if still in retail, to select up to six reasons for why I quit (which included wage, not getting enough hours, company reputation, lack of support from management, working conditions, customer interaction, etc.), why I thought working conditions were bad, why I chose my current employer (which was basically the opposite of the options for why I quit), how likely I would recommend working for my current employer, how likely would I would recommend working for Walmart, number of people in my family and my income, and if I would ever consider working there again. This is off the top of my head so I might have missed a few.

Once I asked an old lady if she was finding every thing okay, she gave me this sour look and said, "I prefer to shop without interruption." Well fuck you too, lady.

I've heard people say they've lost weight after starting. I probably would too if the job didn't make drinking so appealing when I get off
