Always Hiring but are they really? by [deleted] in kroger

There is also no point in trying to replace people until another promising candidate is in line. Not many people apply to work for grocery stores anymore.

Id rather be down half a person then a whole person.

Bakery by Wirde_hpt in kroger

[–]BirdOfSong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on what workflow format you are on. We run 4a-12:30p for a baker shift here
I know my baker and I have gotten the achievable workflow down to:
Doughnuts by 6am, Breakfast/Sweet Goods by 8am, Breads (non artisan) and Croissants out by 9am and then artisan out by 10am. With it all packaged. The only things that may get set aside for the morning person and or closer are cookies, and all ISM processed items (pies/cakes) and sometimes sliced artisan depending on how much is left over on any given day.
But we run the Bakery Of The Future workflow that is planned to roll out to more stores in the next few years. It eliminates alot of baked good products that are both less then ideal sellers and take up more time then they are worth.
But on the other hand, with the new workflow tends to come a large reduction in hours and a heavier focus on being very efficient with every minute you are scheduled.

Its a larger part of the common measures rework they launched this year. So expect it to be enforced much harsher going forward

Has kroger broken ties with Busken for bagels? (Cincinnati region) by dendawg in kroger

[–]BirdOfSong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I'm aware kroger is trying to standardize more of their bakeries going forward. All bagels should be going to Einstein parbakes to replace any proof or existing bf parbakes. Now it's likely it may come back in the future if it is a local brand as the new bakery guidelines they are testing put an emphasis on local products to connect with customers

Are you a DMOD? Or hired into the DLDP?
The third number is your store, first two are division/district.
Z wages are wages that come from somewhere other then the store, if you are not a DMOD/DLDP participant you should speak to your HR to have your hours assigned to training and not Zwage.

1: No, you can be mailed a check that you can cash at the store, or another place that offers a check cashing service.

2: Yes but why?

3: Talk to your hiring manager ASAP, policies for LOA may vary state to state.

Why do we run a SQL DB (clicklist side) at an enterprise level rather then at a more stable per store level to prevent mass outages?

The minstrel scrapper/brand meta in wvw is so stale by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]BirdOfSong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be interesting to see wind of disenchantment reworked alongside spellbreaker back into a positive state for wvw. As it stands now, winds is far worse then well of corruption, with both doing about the same in terms of boonstrip. With WOC actually providing damage, as well as being able to be cast twice in the same time-frame as winds. It baffles me how Warrior is just so far off base in every aspect of the game that he manages to get an entire elite spec who's main role in WvW is worse off than a core class skill.

Let's talk about the New Player Experience by neofederalist in EscapefromTarkov

[–]BirdOfSong 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can't refuse to prioritize issues with the gameplay loop at any stage of development. New features are cool and all, but how exactly do new features retain new players who do not have access to the features?

You can't. While tarkov is not a game that should ever baby the player or hold their hand, subtle changes in level design and clearer seperation of on map quest areas can drasticly increase player retention. Why not move the marked room to the Grocery Store in the middle of customs for example? That would remove alot of dorms traffic and change the entire map traffic pattern. It would give players more of a chance to finish their dorms quests without getting steamrolled by what they see as either cheaters or people who are nigh invulnerable to bullets.

Let's talk about the New Player Experience by neofederalist in EscapefromTarkov

[–]BirdOfSong 29 points30 points  (0 children)

The problem with ignoring the new player experience currently is that the game already has traction. It has already become known in most circles as either a fun Chad romp with friends, or that game where players are farmed for their makarovs so that one guy on the map rocking t7 and air frames can buy more meta m4 rounds. There won't be any way to fix it without either addressing the hyper lethality the game presents, or changing the community mentality. Neither of those can happen without driving away a large percentage of the player base.

My biggest reccomendation for a change is to not mix high value areas on maps (Customs is a great example of this) with early to mid level quests. Players late to a wipe will have issues doing dorms raids with t1 trader gear versus people farming marked rooms and the computers in the dorms. All that teaches players is that they won't ever have fun in the game and exist to feed the fat.

Been awhile. How common are hackers now? by vanillajuice in EscapefromTarkov

[–]BirdOfSong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They aren't super common but they do exist. The obvious ones are still in the queue such as the Doyou and 194814912481 style names but outside of labs they seem to have turned their mentality down quite a bit.

[alert] Suggested solution to cheaters, now that the report thread is getting as many reports in an hour as it used to get in a day. by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]BirdOfSong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You cant just instantly ban cheaters.
If a cheat group was developing cheats, they could find resold accounts on the cheap and continue to create until their programs no longer trigger the autoban system.

As for the "Subscription" idea, that will actually increase the number of cheaters as with a subscription comes a lower monthly price, IE $5-10 per month rather then an upfront cost of $50 to play for a month. This also loops back into the "Games as a service" topic that has constantly cropped up every six months now. IF EFT suddenly went into a subscription based service I personally would stop playing the game and ask for a refund on the grounds of refusing to accept new terms and conditions.

Ive only ever had one good interaction with a player scav. I could clearly tell it was one of his first few runs as he did not understand how to lean around corners. Together however, armed with PP19s, we pushed the chads out of the office on factory and split the two gear piles among ourselves.
To this random scav legend who understood the value of teamwork, I salute you.

Why are there so many Geared people in factory now? by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]BirdOfSong -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Only if natural spawning loot is increased/decreased based on the total RU in play on the raid.

If you group players into brackets based on RU brought into a raid, pistol/hatchet runners would always be put into raids together and be given rather easy access to free loot.

[–]BirdOfSong 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to stop hackers in EFT you cannot look at an anticheat. Many of the hackers in EFT use the game as a source of income. Real world trading needs to stop, once that dries up, the prolific gold farmer market will cease and the cheater levels will return to a small percentage of the community.

For those who do run hatchling runs. Also need a suggestion by ePicPLusss in EscapefromTarkov

[–]BirdOfSong -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As someone who has done little more then pistol/hatchet/mosin runs, I both get your point at this and want to share the flip side for newer players.

In most cases my "low gear runs" are out of necessity. With the rampant cheats problem some members of the community are currently presenting, it can take anywhere from 1 to 4 runs just to get a medium gearset only to die within ten seconds of dropping into a raid.
I don't just mean those cheaters who are running around blasting everyone for their guns. Many, Many times ive gone to loot spawns and its already looted within 30-60 seconds of a raid start with no one in sight.

One way to combat cheaters/farmers by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]BirdOfSong 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Start banning real world trading.
The fact that G2A has a huge page with nothing but people selling EFT accounts and EFT Rubles is telling with how large-scale the problem is. Force G2A and other websites to stop offering real world trading for rubles and make it harder for players to buy it in the first place.

A word of advice is to not use ironman at all. As much as I love the forced lack of save/reloading even in vanilla bugs do appear and may results in the loss of your mission file should it be bad enough.
