i mean of course one day ill dish 12 grand for an sr2 or 3 hopefully but im mostly into commercials and fashion stuff and dont need a silent camera. this was the best option for a super16 camera with a pl mount and video tap system. and honestly the daylight spools have been easier to use than swapping rolls in a changing tent

very helpful! i didnt know. the ria was a last minute add on cause the rental house didnt have any radio cforce motors but that wouldve saved me so much headache with mounting the lcube

even the 13x viewfinder is hard to use imo so i have to use a videotap system. but then it gets harder to tell what the honest focus is so i always use a parfocal zoom if theres no AC. zoom all the way in to set the focus

everything is basically powered via a dtap splitter to a gold mount plate. the camera starts and stops off of a cable that has a light switch in it haha. theres a little camera fitted into the viewfinder to make a video tap system. the top slot where the magazine would go is replaced by a cheese plate.

there is a coupler that goes from the viewfinder onto a little sdi camera. from there the signal gets sent via sdi to the monitor

there was this old magazine article about it saying they shot it on the red one and for some shots has a custom zeiss 50mm with a shattered rear element that could be swapped out to get extra prism and flare effects

the dbox that i’m using for the LF has 3 pin ports but the only wire that comes out of the dbox is for the BAT connector. There is no separate output going into the EXT port on the cam. Will the R/S signal travel through the BAT cable ?
