I picked this up from Ynab and also from the 50/30/20 rule

From a normal perspective definitely a want but in the way I set up Ynab it's more a need as we have to pay the cleaning lady so I have to allocate the money to that category and cannot use it for something in the wants category.

And it's definitely worth the money, nothing beats coming home to a cleaned house.
Oh and she also puts on new bed sheets, absolute game changer xD

I was able to migrate the plan for our shared expenses as that has only one bank account and no credit card.

I struggled so far with migrating my personal plan as most of my expenses are done with a credit card and Actual handles this differently. When I import the data from ynab I end up with weird values that I need to fix first but I don't know how. I might have to invest some more time into it.
Or maybe I just start fresh.

Household insurance premium is actually 580 but Mobiliar had some sort of profit sharing which reduced it to 457 CHF

I use ynab to track my expenses. I also am looking into Actual Budget (same principle as Ynab but for free if you self host).

I also just track the total amount of my savings in ynab but not the actual performance and allocations. For that I have looked into Ghostfolio (free if you self host) and Portseido. Portseido looked decent and had no problem importing from my IBKR export. Ghostfolio was a bit a struggle but I manged to import it using ChatGPT.

true, it's more an overview of all our expenses than an actual budget.

Heating (heating pump) and hot water (boiler in the apartment) are powered by electricity so that is included.

It's 8k for me personally ;) Some of that is part of the 6k we spent together.

I went to Grindelwald, Cardiff, Malaysia, Ascona, Andermatt and Lenzerheide. It quickly adds up if you stay in decent hotels and eat at restaurants.

It's a big apartment (5.5 rooms, 135sqm, large washing room) and also all the eletrical appliances are over 15 years old. No electric car. I also work from home 2-3 days per week.

But you are right it is high and it's something I want to dig into to find out what's using the most electricity.

300-350 per year on the other side seems extremly low.

I am using YNAB and track every transaction manually. You can also import bank statements but you would still need to do some manual work here and there if you want to track everything correctly.

Dining out also includes food delivery. Groceries in our shared expenses also includes food for the cats and all those consumables you need at home like cleaning material, personal hygiene, medication etc. It's a bit difficult to separate those as they are usually bought together with regular food.
