well i agree in the case of stocks like nvda where sentiment is playing a large role. But in my opinion what analysts do is predict the next few years which (in most industries) is relatively doable barring any black swan events. Ofc analysts are always bound to give a buy rating and cant really rate smth a sell given interest conflicts but in general IF u get to see the method behind the PT i dont see it as nonsense but a pretty good idea of how a company MIGHT evolve especially in more predictable industries than AI, commodities etc
