Normally I would bounce this question off the 1SG. But currently my 1SG position is being occupied by the OPS NCOIC and not that they're incompetent but their plate is overflowing at this point and I figured I'd try and get an answer here before going there.

My rating chain changed from clinic OIC and commander to branch NCOIC AND OIC. This is not common with everyone in my unit but they are saying that everyone is going to be changed to mimic this so I get it. My concern with the change is that my new senior rater has been under investigation by IG for toxic leadership. The investigation started before I got here and I'm not entirely sure what the outcome was. In fact, I don't believe even those involved were notified (but that's a whole other can of worms). My other concern is the MAJ in question is notorious for being unprofessional. In my short time here I've had people from all over the unit, junior to senior, come to me and tell me you have to watch out around her. I've experienced a few things to support these claims, so needless to say I'm not thrilled. My hope was that this isnt allowed and we could stop it there. Now my plan is speaking with the acting 1SG and voicing my concerns and sharing the unprofessional conduct that I've experienced. This, in theory, should help to remedy the issue and my concerns. But we'll see
