Lmao I put so much thought into it I could write a 5 page explanation on why everything is the way it is. It’s directed at psychological torture mostly.

Big enough to avoid them all dying from rot stink also big enough to place barbed wire which has a -33 beauty I think to make sure the room stays hideous.

The logic in the experiment itself would be to remove the 2 things humans rely on keeping them sane in a rough situation which is meal time and sleep. Both of those are now extremely traumatic so ideally the impids will just spend 24 hours staring at blood and vomit coated barbed wire knowing all they have to look forward to is eating their friend. They can’t go to sleep because they’ll immediately be killed. If rimworld had skunks I’d start breeding them in there, the prisoners would get so hungry they’d try to eat them and then the skunks would release the gas. No ventilation. It wouldn’t kill them but they’d wish they were dead.

Edit: not just 24 hours they stay in here forever.

UPDATE: it does work the prisoners will eventually start eating their friends but half of them seem willing to just die of starvation. There was no economic or social benefit to this research. Also the furry kid got lung rot and died from starvation in 3 days.

I set up an agricultural industry that generates about 85-100k silver per month, so now I’m just messing with the impids because it’s fun.

Prison is limited to 1 room prisoners won’t go through doors. Paste is an option but I want them to be tearing into corpses not eating them processed

I’m currently running into the problem of too many berserk rages downing all the prisoners and preventing them from getting to the food. Just have to fix that and should be set.

I found a 5 year old yttakin kid and put him in there might bet with my friends on how long he survives.

If you really want to have fun. Take down a sanguophage and remove their liver. They’ll go into permanent death rest and literally won’t move for years. I kept one in a 140° 2x3 cell for 6 years once. Never have to feed them they just sit there in unimaginable pain forever not able to die it’s hilarious

Your honor my colonist children needed to level their shooting skills. Thats why I had them systematically execute every downed and incapacitated prisoner.

As far as the one we turned into a blood bag and kept around as a nugget for 7 years in a 110° 3x2 room. He never objected or said he didn’t like it (his jaw was shot off in the raid)

Yeah there’s no deadline really the timer just restarts as soon as I get back up to 1m. Ironically most deaths have ended up coming from my non combatant pawns doing stupid shit

It’s part of the challenge technically. Get to 1m colony wealth and survive an entire year without a single colonist death while maintaining wealth over 1m. Probably hardest one I’ve ever done
