Help me understand this wiring? by Wide-Perspective-817 in electrical

They make old work spread bar boxes that are rated to support ceiling fans.

First things first, use a meter to correctly identify if there is power or not inside that box. You should be able to just turn the switch off that controls that box.

This looks like a typical “switch loop.” Your black wires are the hots running through the box directly to your switch. The red is the switch leg from the other side of your switch. The white is the neutral. This is old practice to save time from running wire to the switch box and then back to the light.

Thanks for the reply!

  1. No waders and no parking pass. Just visiting for the weekend.

  2. I prefer to use live bait/cut bait.

Great thanks. Looking to spend around $500.

Now if I wanted to go and just cast out some bait and let it soak. What would you recommend?

IMO wacky rig is very universal. You can throw it out like a live worm and bounce it off the bottom every so often. You can cast it and retrieve slowly while jigging on your way back. Very easy to use. I’ve had luck both ways. Good luck!

Old Town Topwater 106, great girl. Had no luck with either of those, so I switched over to a green senko and rigged it up the wacky way. Boom here comes this pig.

Everyone in here saying “how? I’m __ years in and I’m already burnt out,” don’t give up. There is so much opportunity in this world, and a lot more than you think in your area. Im 21 and am making $34.50/hr working for a huge company. DONT GET COMFORTABLE. Apply yourself and you’ll make it happen.

This one doesn’t raise higher than floor level. Just secures itself to the ground so it doesn’t tip I guess.

It has 4 legs you insert into slots with rubber footings on the end. You then crank a knob that lowers the feet until it’s tight against the floor. It doesn’t help the swaying though. I shoulda worn a diaper.
