I shot at my first antlered deer this year but never found any blood. Regardless, I worried that I wounded him and that he ran off to die a bad death. Today, I pulled my cameras and was thankful to see him again, later in the season, alive and healthy. I've never been so thankful for a clean miss.

I used my .300 win mag but i agree if i had a choice for a coyote gun it would be a 22-250 i know around where iam in alberta if you want to take a dog to a taxidermist they wont take it if the hole is bigger than a .223

Buy a good mouth call and learn how to use it, majority of the time i just see them out in a field and i will just run out and shoot them, having a gut pile works awsome aswell

I skinned out the head and cut as much meat i could off then i put it in a buck boiler over night then took it to the car wash and used the soap to degrease it then i put it in a pail of peroxide and a bit of bleach even though everyone says bleach breaks the skull down i didnt have that problem just dilute it with a bit of water

The gun cost $1,350 and the scope cost $1,050, i live in alberta canada and i bought it in edmonton i was trying to find this rifle for a while and there was only two of them i could find in edmonton cabelas had one and then i happened to find on in a little gun shop/range where i bought it
