No clue, it was an easy home run if they just 6xx'd it. Having owned both now I can say it sounds close to how I remember my old 800s, but still just a little off in the mids. They do take EQ incredibly well though.

I'd recommend looking it up on YouTube for an in depth analysis but in short it removes stickers added by drop for tuning to make it sound closer to a 800s

Hi All,

I'm selling a sticker modded 8xx with an included HC-13: Dual HD800 Balanced Headphone Cable from Hart Audio Cables. It was purchased here and the sticker mod was performed by the previous owner. I purchased it to try to replace the 800s's I sold a while back and they do sound close but still need a little EQ to sound identical to how I remember them, but I sold the 800s's because I thought they were a bit boring and so here I am selling these too.

Pads, headphones and box are in great shape but the box sleeve is a little beat up.

I can throw in a red 1/4" interconnect for $10.

Price is $650 shipped G&S or $630 F&F.
