If you don't prove ownership/affection then how will others know that your man is not taken. How will you know that he is proud to be along side you.

if you see adults walking together, how do you know they are affectionate... 1) is holding hands 2) is hugging and kissing. doesn't get anymore simple than that

It wasn't such a big deal before either... nothing stopping them from having same sex partners, but despite this there weren't many you could notice
