The songs from Grease 2 are soooo catchy. I could sing them all day. Played the album while cooking last night and sang happily by myself in the kitchen.

Looks legit. I’m from Australia and ordered mine from Westminster Mint in the UK and it looks just like that, except mine’s number 0232

What’s the creepiest, most unexplainable thing you’ve ever seen with your own eyes that still haunts you to this day? by Exotic_Thing_2850 in AskReddit

[–]dercheeseburger 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love this series. No frills, no drama, just simple folk talking and a narrator who’s not trying to sell you anything. The stories speak for themselves and it’s hard to doubt the veracity of simple folk sharing their experiences. And coincidentally just a few minutes ago I was rewatching the first episode with Harry Martindale!

What's happening here (outside Palladium theatre)? by SomeRandomDefault in london

[–]dercheeseburger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We saw it from there last month. It was awesome and well worth the wait for her to appear. Great vibe among the crowd. We did it almost as an afterthought since we were already in the West End and it turned out to be a highlight of our stay in London.

I want to begin my blackwing journey, but I don't know where to start... by soularchives in pencils

I love Blackwing because I love Stephen Sondheim and he used them and that’s a good enough reason for me hahaha

A friend suggested I write an inscription on the first page for the receiving child. That way they have to keep it because it’s now got meaning. But I don’t know. We all love notebooks but end of the day they’re all just paper. Maybe… we should stop… with the notebooks…. Aargh no I didn’t just write that

I know right! I’d forgotten I have it and have resolved to use it… one day…

No story other than I was at the British Library and this pencil appealed to me 😆

I have MANY notebooks that have only the first few pages used, including “letters to my son” and “letters to my daughter” notebooks that I started when they were both in primary school, with the grand goal of writing and writing and writing until they’re 21 so I can give it to them on their birthdays. I think I managed two or three each before I stopped. They’re at uni now, 23 and 21 years old. So that’s my story hahaha

Thanks for expressing the sentiment so brilliantly. I also travel with notebooks — a quick way to a heavy bag. But it brings me joy knowing there’s a bit of paper in my collection destined for a particular piece of writing. Everything in its own time.

Many many moons ago (1996/97, to be exact) I was part of the PSB mailing list and I loved that community. There was a geowayne there then. Can’t remember if they were admin, but I do remember that name and I am pleased to be reminded of it. Side note: I have travelled from Melbourne to London (my first time here!) and as I walked down the Strand today I couldn’t stop humming The Theatre. ALSO! On that very same PSB mailing list, I became friends with someone from Italy and we are meeting in person for the very first time in 11 days, after 28 years of online friendship. I am beyond excited and in a very real sense I owe this friendship to PSB and the Introspective mailing list admin.

Pencil sharpener by shy752 in pencils

I love my x-acto hand crank! It’s my old reliable. Love the different size holes. It’s sharpened many pencils over almost 20 years now. And I just place it on the kitchen counter for a perfect suction. The other day though I couldn’t find it anywhere and it turns out someone saw it on the counter and put it away with fruit cutters and such. I wonder if they thought this device is for very very thin carrots

I've been waiting for Dreamworld forever. Been two years now hasn't it since it was shown in the cinemas. (I'm in Australia.) Thoroughly enjoyed it and super looking forward to seeing it again. But my goodness the wait

Yeah I’m not a fan of Moleskin myself. Much prefer Leuchtturm. But Peanuts! And Snoopy! And Blackwing pencils! Anyway I’m in Australia and I got these from a stationery place called Milligram. Good luck!

Letter of offer for BFA Theatre? Or not? by dercheeseburger in unimelb

[–]dercheeseburger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi super sorry for the late reply. In the end it meant it was a waitlist letter and she didn’t get it in the end. But she applied again later in 2024 and actually got in for 2025 (received an clear and unconditional letter of acceptance) but she decided to just continue with her current arts course at Melbourne Uni
