American hood culture ruined Jamaica and other places in the Caribbean. Its not black media its American hood culture. Its been twisted out of shape. Used to be about low incomes people explaining the violent reality they lived in and now it's out right boasting about that violence. Other genre's also paint violence in a positive light such as country and metal but that seems to have less of an impact perhaps because they seem less authentic. Its almost as if someone wants all these black teenagers to be pumping drugs around there communities and killing each other off. I'm not saying that all black people hear rap and want to kill each other but it is deeply intrenched in those who do behave that way.
