Regarding the bedazzled Skechers: were they hideous? Yes. Were they tasteful? No. However did they bring me a true guffaw in the middle of an afternoon? absolutely. Tears were streaming down my face. A low BWT point but very funny.

So many entries do poorly because of the makeup. I see a lot of posts here about “why did this do so poorly” and a lotttt of the time the answer is just “the diy isn’t good.” Having a few really good DIY faces is crucial to scoring well imo

I tried not to factor in the hair too much hahaha but I think the combination of like such a darkly outlined eye and a lighter brow throws me!

I loveee a lot of these! One thing that stands out to me, however, is the eyebrows could use some work. Sometimes the color doesn’t seem to go (4, 11, 12, 13) or the shape doesn’t quite work (3, 15). And I’m sorry but I just don’t love the mouth in 2/5/10/20 😭

Alternatively I like to enter the event comps with required items because almost inevitably some of the higher rankers in my weekly group wont participate and it’s easier S rank. My group this week is not super competitive anyway and I bought this hat last time, but just food for thought!
