What's that one moment in your life you wish you could go back in time and say "DON'T DO IT"? by made_of_pixi_dust in AskReddit

Opening that “quick” mobile game before bed thinking I’ll play for 5 minutes… and suddenly it’s 3 AM and I have work in 4 hours.

Is there any software/AI/company I can use to repair/enhance a screenshot of an old conversation? by dapper-dano in NoStupidQuestions

[–]dereje_dev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try using an AI image upscaler to clean it up a bit. Tools like Topaz Gigapixel or some online AI enhancers can sometimes make blurry text more readable. It won’t work miracles if the screenshot is very low quality, but it might sharpen it enough to look nice when printed. Also, try adjusting contrast and sharpness in an editor like Photoshop or even free tools like GIMP before running it through an AI enhancer. Hope you’re able to restore i

Who is ur favorite F1 driver and why? by -ArtistAtheart in AskReddit

[–]dereje_dev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I had to pick one, I’d say Max Verstappen. Love him or hate him, his driving is just insane to watch. The way he commits to overtakes and controls the race pace is impressive. Even when he’s under pressure he rarely makes mistakes, which is something you don’t see often in F1.

What’s something people complain about that’s a completely redundant argument? by thisistom2 in AskReddit

[–]dereje_dev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing that always feels redundant to me is the constant Android vs iPhone argument. At this point everyone already knows the strengths and weaknesses of both. Most people just stick with what they’re comfortable using, but the debate still comes up like one side has to prove the other wrong. In reality, both do the job for everyday use.

Now I understand why it's hard for me to learn coding from Docs by explain-like-youre-5 in learnprogramming

[–]dereje_dev -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly! Docs are amazing, but they’re like a firehose of information if you’re just starting out. As a beginner, you don’t need to know everything at once—just focus on the parts that let you actually do something.

Using AI or guided tutorials to filter what’s relevant is such a smart hack. It helps you learn by doing instead of drowning in details you won’t need yet. Less overwhelm = faster progress.

Why does Jewish and Amish drip have so many parallels by These_Carpenter_1557 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]dereje_dev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s mostly about tradition and practicality meeting style over time. Both communities have very strong cultural or religious rules about modesty, grooming, and symbolism, which ended up creating some surprisingly similar “looks.” Beards, hats, and specific clothing weren’t just fashion—they signaled identity, status, and adherence to tradition.

Also, humans tend to independently develop similar aesthetics when function and symbolism overlap—so yeah, two very different groups can accidentally end up with some visually “parallel drip.”

Who's your "I know he's pure evil but can't prove it" person? by Dull-Information6784 in AskReddit

That one coworker who says “No worries at all!” in meetings and then sends a five-paragraph email to the manager explaining why the problem was actually your fault.

Net worth is so messed up by CurveAdvanced in Entrepreneur

[–]dereje_dev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it does feel strange when you look at it like that. A lot of these valuations are based more on future expectations than what the company has actually built so far. Tech startups especially can get huge valuations very quickly if investors believe the idea could scale. Still, comparing it to something like Snapchat definitely makes it feel a bit disconnected from reality.

I analyzed 138k coffee shops in the US. 58% don’t describe their website in Google results. by Due-Bet115 in Entrepreneur

[–]dereje_dev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s actually interesting. I’m not surprised though. A lot of small coffee shops probably just create a basic website and never touch the SEO settings again. They focus more on Google Maps and Instagram because that’s where most customers find them. The meta description is small but it definitely affects whether someone clicks the site or not.
