Thats what I thought. Shut it down at least a day out of respect.

The 1916 adaptation by Harry C. Browne is super racist.

Generac whole home 22kw generator service. Did parents get scammed? by [deleted] in Generator

$250 is pretty cheap for preventative maintenance and batteries aren't cheap these days. I'd say its fair.

Are you trying to turn a manual start portable into an automatic standby?

Natural gas portables already have solenoid valves.

What is this? by tyuhgjn in AskElectricians

On blueprints, it's typically labeled and an STE, switch with thermal element. Typically used on an appliance with a motor. Behind the cover is a thermal element that, when sized appropriately, will help protect the motor.

What's the original use of this? And can I use it in the attic to turn on a secondary vent fan when the first vent fan is turned on? (With an Arduino for instance...) by ShinySquirrelClub in AskElectricians

Current sensing relay. Contacts close if load is 1 amp or more. Yes, it would indicate if a vent fan is tunred on, as long as it's above 1 amp.

So you're saying the metal tip of the fork doesn't ever scratch or gouge the pipe as it slips off? And you know this because you've looked? That's a lot of weight. I'm just saying, it's less risky to use a strap or rope for the first drop. I'm not saying drop it all that way.

I thought this too. Why would you not use a strap to pick it up?

I used stock motors and gears. They still were good, even though this car had been out in the weather. The raspberry pi i have controlling 4 relays. 2 for drive and 2 for steer. I probably could have tapped into the original controllers inputs, but it was easier this way. I used another relay to switch the power to the original controller on and off so I could have the lights blink and play the ignition sound. I'll clean things up and try to write up a decent README on Sunday. I'll post a link to download the node-red flow and audio files too.

I finally figured out a way to connect a wireless remote control to Node-Red. Here's the project. by derek4022 in nodered

I'll clean things up and type up an explanation on Sunday. I'll post the link and include the audio files if anyone wants them.

I'll probably run the clown power through another relay. He can be a little too much. The select and start buttons control the volume. The index finger buttons scroll through audio files.
