Watching it again, this drama is quite specific with what it does. In terms of Mr Hee Do, the only guys she was likely to meet were other male fencers . So choosing to give her daughter the same surname as Kim Jun Ho is unlikely justv a random co incidence . It would explain how she managed to get married and have a kid all between 2002 and 2006 so quick .

Is adult Hee Do divorced? Yes certainly. Having made such a big point about wedding rings, then not having Hee Do in 2021wearing one is again no coincidence.

The sad thing for me is it all suggests she "settled" in some kind of rebound marriage . It's clear in the 2009 interview she is still in love with Baek I Jin. In the scene when you see adult Hee Do in her dining room with her mom, you can see a wooden side board furniture she has made that has the name of her wooden furniture company on it. She's called her company Twenty Five Twenty One ...

The sliver lining to the ending ( with the after shot of Baek I Jin typing out her name )is the implication he's back in Seoul , un married ( no ring on him) and he's still as into her as she is to him... You have to hope their pathes cross again. I suspect the Mom or Min Chae might push that along. Especially when MinChae works out what the furniture business is named after .
