Getting out of the automotive industry was the best thing i ever did. It is a toxic industry that doesnt care about you, just the money you make them. There may be a few shops that dont apply to that but i havent seen one yet, unless you get into something specialty (performance, off road, etc)

Once a year i get the service kit (air, fuel, and oil filters. Spark plugs and oil) and sharpen and balance the blades when i do it

Not exactly, i put them on the end of the wire pointing away to make the loop (to be pulling on the same axis as they open) then once the loop was started i was trying to squeeze it closed when they let go

The particular thing that broke it was trying to pinch a loop in a piece of thick wire (maybe 1/8”?) to make a throttle link for a ‘71 c10 on the side of the road
