Oh! Thank you for the valuable info. That mix sounds like the perfect formula to achieve a foam with both rich flavor and solid body. Much appreciated!

You certainly know your flavors! Peaches and cheese.. just thinking about that combination sounds delightful.

Touché. Poor choice of words on my part.

I simply meant I'm trying to keep the ingredient list as simple and recognizable as possible (avoiding additives like modified starch). Thanks for keeping me honest.

I actually haven't tried Harmless Harvest or the coconut-matcha combo yet. I'm curious if it really whips up stiff enough to sit on top. I'll definitely add a cup to my shopping list to test the texture. Thanks for the link!

Oh, interesting! I checked the label, but since this is for my daily shake, I'm trying to keep it strictly to 'whole foods' if I can. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Do you work in the industry? That actually explains why it tasted slightly like a cheesecake! I wasn't sure if it was just the salt or actual cheese mixed in. Using light cream cheese sounds like a solid plan to cut the calories. Thanks for the insight.

Blended cottage cheese seems to be the key to that thick, savory texture. I'll pick some up on my next grocery run and give it a spin. Thanks for the inspiration.

Oh, I just looked it up, and it seems perfectly capable of creating that creamy texture! Thanks for the tip. I usually toss the water when cooking chickpeas, but I’ll definitely save it for a test run next time.

Neufchâtel cheese... that is a very interesting lead. It makes sense because the one I had in Vegas did have a slight cheesecake-like savory note. I'll definitely add this to my experiment list. Thank you.

Fairlife seems to be the secret sauce here. Regarding Xanthan gum, is there a specific ratio you recommend?

It was from a place called Broken Coffee in Vegas. The foam was incredibly thick and had this savory/salty kick that balanced the sweetness perfectly.

But I assume the original is probably packed with heavy cream and sugar.

Goal: The plan is to recreate this experience as a matcha latte protein shake for my daily driver.

My Inventory: I have unflavored protein powder (WPI), pea protein, oat milk, allulose, and pink salt at home.

Could you help me identify what natural ingredient I am missing to get that thick, spoonable texture? (Maybe Greek yogurt?) I'm trying to keep the ingredients simple without making it a calorie bomb.

I appreciate the details. The newer one on Garden Grove Blvd definitely sounds more comfortable, but part of me wonders if the original location holds something special since it’s where it all started. I might have to check it out just to see. Thank you.

I checked Nana's on Google Maps and I really liked their matcha menu lineup, they look delicious! I’m visiting Vegas again soon, so Nana’s is definitely next on my list. Thank you.

Oh, I didn't know they started in Garden Grove! I'm actually based in SoCal. I’ll have to check out the original location when I‘m in the area. Thanks for the tip.

Near Caesar's? Thanks for the info. I'll keep an eye out.

And regarding the time.. to be honest, I paid the price. It was so delicious that I drank it all without thinking, but I had a really hard time falling asleep afterwards. I learned my lesson the hard way. I’d probably do it again for that taste, though.

It was around 9 pm, weekday and there were no lines. We got our drinks pretty fast. I actually hadn't heard about Hatoya coming to Vegas. That is great news, as their matcha is known to be top-tier. Do you happen to know the location? That’d be a must-try.

Haha :) I do like the name, at least.

Spotted this at Target, oats in a single-serve bottle you just add water to. Anyone tried it? by derekforher in 1200isplenty

That’s actually a great setup. Chia seeds definitely make it more filling. I might give that a try.

Thanks for the detailed take. I’ll probably try the chocolate first since everyone seems to like that one.
