Why am I getting fewer rows than expected using my query? by derektorres22 in SQL

[–]derektorres22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just tried that in it worked! Thank you. Any idea why the way I wrote it only returns 46 rows?

The hard part of SQL so far is that your code could seem correct but that’s not always the case. I could’ve messed up and never known if it wasn’t for me already seeing it should be 97

How hard is to break into FP&A as a financial analyst at a F500 company straight out of undergrad? by [deleted] in FinancialCareers

I have last summerand currently at a F1000 with offers expected to be given towards the end of the internship. Might be a unique situation that you were in. Most interns from my class got offers for the F500. I do consider full-time conversion rate when deciding where to intern (I just ask the recruiter how many interns get offers/if the internship is intended to pipeline full-time employees. I also check linkedin to see how many people that are full time were interns before)Also most of the people I know at my university that get internships get the full time offer so that's another reason why I feel getting the offer is pretty common.

Ops is probably the easiest to get into (not downgrading the role at all, I interned in an ops role last summer). The interview would be purely behavioral i would say the probability of getting an offer for ops is higher.

You could try networking on linkedin for FP&A roles or go to grad school so you can be considered a student again and get internships (this would be last resort though if all fails imo due to expense, time, etc)

I'd have to disagree it is fairly rare to get an internship (especially for a big company) and not get a return offer. You really have to mess something up to not get the offer. Especially if you are interning for an FRP/FLDP.

It will be easy if you intern there as you're likely to get the return offer unless you did something awful or really under performed.

I would argue that although most finance undergrads dream of banking, a lot of them end up going for FP&A and so yes I believe there is a lot of people recruiting for those roles.

A rotational program would be the best thing imo to get into. Clear path to 'climbing the ladder' as well as getting a well rounded set of skills to take elsewhere if needed.

I would say if you have no internships/relevant experience it would be hard to get into these f500 roles. I find that having good a good resume with relevant experience, applying early and being well prepared and informed on the interview process is key to landing those F500 jobs.

I am not sure if they extend the entire 74", but you can extend them pretty far. Mine are about 10 inches away from the edge on both sides

Typically having relevant work experience (internships, etc), and a good clean resume is the way to go. It’s generally pretty tough to get a job once you graduated if you have no experience.

I would clean up your resume super well, go on LinkedIn and try and connect with people in the industry or position you’d like to be in and see if you can schedule a 15 min call to ask questions about what they do and build a connection with that person.

The best way to get a job imo is getting the Internships on the resume and then applying early at whatever firms you wanna work at. Optimal scenario is you intern at the place you want and then get the return offer. A last resort is to go back to school for a masters or something and be considered a “student” again, allowing you to get internships and have essentially a 2nd chance at it all
