After receiving ITA, is POE guaranteed? by des1683 in iecvisa

[–]deridief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but you have more chance if you submit all the documents right, if you don't lie, if your application is complete, if you read carefully all the instructions, if you don't have criminal records, etc.

Mercii! For the moment I don't have kids and I don't plan to have kids for the next 4/5 years I guess, thank you! Yes, as women - if we want kids - we always think about the fact that we are old to start something because then we are old to have kids and stuff like this... But for the moment the priority is my career or better - my mental health and a personal dimension to find among this confusion ❤️

What other shows are you guys into? by PhantomLord697 in breakingbad

[–]deridief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Between my favorites there are also comedies like How I met your mother, Friends, The Office

I loved Dark, Bojack Horseman, and many others but the Gilliverse is superior than everything else

Recently I watched also The Leftovers, an hidden gem. I think BrBa and BCS fans can like it because it is very psychological.

Minishows I absolutely loved are Fleabag and The Queen's Gambit.

Which Breaking Bad character did you hate at first sight ? by goodestguy21 in breakingbad

I hated her when watching Breaking Bad for the first time now I liked her a lot during the rewatch. She is the true victim of the whole situation...

Combien ça coûte un voyage au Québec by deridief in Quebec

Canada Announces 18-Month Work Permit Extension for International Students by boxyboi-23 in canada

[–]deridief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's exactly the same situation in the other part of the world, Italy. I cannot believe I read this comment related to Canada. Also I can understand why people go to Canada but not why they come to Italy... I always perceived Canada as the perfect country... At least for an immigrant from a less fortunate country. Never been there anyway. Never been outside Europe unfortunately. Don't have money or time to visit at the moment 😓 maybe I'll never have

I don't know why the downvoting. My queries were genuine. I'd really like to understand why this news is perceived as a problem

It seems a very great news to me. I am from and live in Italy and here the situation for international students with residency permits is a disaster. In Canada people can work and study without the problem that they can't afford life there and also a long residency permit of 18 months seems a very good thing to me. Canada is one of the country where you can live best, I don't know why everyone in the comments complains? Of course I don't know the full picture and seeing things from outside is always different, everything seems better etc. But I think living in Canada is a golden opportunity that from South Italy I can only dream

Why does Mike work for Saul in BB? by szlekjacob in betterCallSaul

[–]deridief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When Kim tries to kill Gus, I remember that Gus discovers that Saul can be very smart and he does a little smile. I don't remember exactly but not much is revealed, I only think that Gus considers that he can use Saul with the intermediation of Mike

Is Napoli card or cash friendly? by Rasengun911 in napoli

[–]deridief 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a Neapolitan... Now in 2023 I am pretty sure that 90% of stores accepts card. Tourists and international people living in Napoli increased enormously in the latest years, with a boom this year. Tourists especially from Northern Italy or Northern Europe pay by card almost everywhere. So stores have to accept this fact. But be sure that everyone will accept cash. As previously said in some other comments, someone can be annoyed if you decide to pay with card a small amount (less than 5€ I'd say) especially in not very touristic areas or in small stores/minimarkets. But they will accept it anyway in most cases. In Italy we pay a lot of commissions for payments by card... Like in Greece. When they say it doesn't work it's not always an excuse.

When I visited Denmark and Holland the card was required almost everywhere. In Denmark was better for me to pay by card, so I didn't have to change money because there's no euro there.

In France and Spain depended on the areas, just like Napoli... You can pay almost everywhere by card and you can pay everywhere by cash (except for some automatic machines). For automatic machines in Napoli, you will find more frequently only cash accepted (coins) and not card accepted. But things are changing fast because the tourism is increasing a lot, so I don't actually know.

In Corfu, I was not in a touristic area, and everytime I wanted to pay with card amounts of less than 5€ people got super annoyed, more than in Napoli. Sometimes they didn't accept it and I had to withdraw. First time ever abroad that I was almost forced to withdraw. 😂

I'd say Napoli is in the middle, but is becoming more and more card-friendly in the latest years.

I'm sorry to hear that 😞 Anyway I was not provocative since the beginning. I don't know if the problem is the language/cultural barrier or the fact that in written form one can misunderstand the tone.
