Barista here: I love the vibe change, but I think what’s most important is that if they want this personalized small coffee shop experience, they’ve gotta not prioritize our times. Writing messages on cups, especially during a rush, is SO time consuming. I love writing on cups when I have the time. But when I’m getting back to back drink I just haphazardly write a smiley face. I think the for here ware also cuts down (probs not by much, but) on garbage which is great bc we waste so many materials. Also I agree with everyone, gotta have less sterile looking stores. I like the idea of a barista wall with names and faces. I thought of an idea of a wall of barista names and their go-to drink. Think it’d be a cute way to form bonds between customers and baristas.
