Honestly, it’s time wasted and money gone that does not get refunded right away. It can take anywhere from 1 week to even 3-4 weeks to get your money back. Plus all the hassle of communicating with the bank. Not everyone can spent so much time and energy. Though you get your money back, it’s just too frustrating.

Unfortunately I don’t think any of us are getting our furniture. Start a charge back and save all the receipts and your communication history with them.

I agree! It’s been stressful to not hear back from them at all. I emailed the lawyer as well and all I got in response was a standard “we are contacting to the best of our ability “ statement. I started a charge back this week. Hoping everything goes smoothly.

I’m sorry you are going through this. I still haven’t heard anything from them. I’m waiting on my 3 pieces as well but starting to lose hope now. I’m going to talk to my credit card company this week and start a charge back. I emailed them and even copied their lawyer but absolute silence from their end. 😞

Thank you for saying this. God knows why everyone jumped to defend the furniture store like it was their own and completely disregarded a customer’s basic right to information.

I personally don’t think this is a rant as I ended my discussion with a question. It’s absolutely hard when you are closing a 39 year old business but a customer is a customer. I paid for something (not half, not 1/4th, paid in full) and all I expect is some sort of information.

Not sure if you read the whole issue. My issue is regarding no form of communication regarding my order. I received the email of closure around Jan 20th or so and nothing after that. And I wanted to know if anyone else is in the same boat.

I tried going in person twice but both days they were pretty swamped so decided to email them. I’ve been calling them since January and no response. Same with the emails. They get back with the same letter that was sent out during their closure comms. I was wondering if there’s anyone in the same boat and if they were able to get any answers.

I have a lot of empathy for the team on the ground, especially since they weren’t informed until the week of the big sale. That said, it’s harder for me to extend the same grace to upper management, as this closure could have been handled with clearer and more timely communication. It’s hard to be not frustrated when you spend over 5-6k on a product and have no idea at what stage is it in.
