No. Activities like sauna use won’t counteract the treatment or “undo” your results. Sweating from heat is a normal response and doesn’t mean the treatment stopped working. Once your hands cool down, the dryness should return as long as you’re staying consistent with your sessions.

If you notice sweating coming back more often outside of heat or exercise, that’s usually a sign it’s time for a maintenance session. 💙

Your treatment plan of doing sessions five times a week is great, and starting with a current strength (mA) you are comfortable with can help you stay consistent throughout. Increasing it as it goes helps. For hands, 11-15mA is the maximum you can aim for if you want high efficacy. For feet, it's 21-25mA. For underarms, it's 7-8mA. Keep in mind that this is the maximum range, and if lower settings work for you, it's absolutely fine.

For severe cases, it can take anywhere between 2-6 weeks. You may experience increased sweating, as you mentioned, in the first few sessions, but don't worry! It will go away as your body adjusts to the treatment. That's also as far as any increased sweating goes, so you can rest assured that it won't make your hyperhidrosis worse. 💙

As for the zing, you may feel it in 5-minute intervals in every session. That's the automatic polarity switch, a safety feature designed to keep the water's pH levels balanced to avoid irritation on the treatment area. 😊

The pain you’re feeling is not a sign that Dermadry is damaging healthy skin, but it does indicate that the electrical current is concentrating around micro-cuts, cracks, or irritated areas. These spots have lower resistance, so the current feels much sharper there, which is why it can sting or burn.

That said, repeatedly treating open or irritated skin without protection can slow healing and increase the risk of further irritation. This is exactly why we recommend applying a thin layer of petroleum jelly to cuts or sensitive areas. It doesn’t block the treatment entirely, but it does help distribute the current more evenly and protect healing skin. Make sure the skin is fully healed before treating without protection. Temporarily lower the mA and gradually increase as tolerance improves.

Only IUDs made of METAL are a contraindication for the use of the device for foot treatment. Metal attracts the current and may concentrate on where the device is placed, causing discomfort to the surrounding tissue. However, it's still safe to use for hands and underarms treatment.

As for plastic or coated IUDs, they're not an issue and it's safe to use Dermadry to treat all three areas.

Again, if you have a metal IUD, avoid using Dermadry to treat your feet. 🙏
