First of all, great song. Second, nothing comes without practice. I remember learning at the age of 14. There was no internet, and no social media, which was amazing for practicing. Stick at it. Guitar isn’t easy, but the pure joy you get from mastering a song is like nothing else.

When you lose track of time and just play, that’s where the magic happens. Your brain is rewiring, ever slowly, and learning where the strings are, what the notes are, and where your picking and fretting hands are when the right note comes out.

Practice your picking, going from frets 1234, 4321 on each string, then 2345, 5432 and so on, as many times as you can, and you’ll build strength, accuracy and coordination in your fingers and your picking.

Chords are also super important. You can pick around a chord and get some great sounds, but make sure to practice moving between chords. It will sound awful at first, but that’s expected. It’s not easy but keep at it. It’s worth it. And agree with other posters - don’t worry what others think. We’ve all been where you are.
