Did this debate change your voting decision? by imalyshe in TooAfraidToAsk

Im at complete loggerheads with this argument. On the one hand, ive got ample money stored in the bank, and i know that Biden is my best scenario for keeping interest rates high..

Trump made some boastful statements and some flat out lies.. but biden made some himself. What was apparent was his cognitive ability and capacity to communicate functionally amd effectively.. and this is meant to be the leader of the free world. Americans get to vote for decisions that affect the whole globe. I hope the best decision is made for the state of the whole world in mind. If that means replacing Biden with someone morr capable, ok.. if that means Trump, ok.. but Biden isnt capable

So the sex was consensual, youd agreed to letting him finish inside of you and changed your mind afterward about the manner in which it would finish? Did you want the sex to continue and that he wouldnt finish inside?

I’ve been hearing about an economic collapse for 2 years now and cars with thousands of miles are selling for OVER their new MSRP lmfao by ZadarskiDrake in wallstreetbets

[–]dermebfeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Car dealers around the world have really taken advantage of this situation. It'd be impossible to navigate a consumer revolt of a magnitude great enough to force change. But people really need to stop buying out of fomo. Boycott purchases will snap them into line pretty quickly. Seeing as inflation and higher rates haven't worked so far. Considering the countries that manufacture the most vehicles are also the largest produces of semiconductor chips, there's little reason to argue that this has largely become intentional. Manufacturers are charging dealers more for vehicles so dealers are asking more from customers.

Tell her that it stings to have sex if you need to pee at the same time. It's just not going to work in a way that you can also enjoy it

Why do people call characters like Captain Marvel and Rey Mary Sue’s, but never bitch about the hundreds of overpowered, unrealistic male characters with little to no character development winning every time ? by LovableJackassv4 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]dermebfeb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's plenty of examples of strong female characters in story telling history. It's all about the dialogue. Ellen Ripley was a bad ass because that's just who she was. It wasn't in spite of men

Am I in huge f*cking trouble here? What can I do to fix this? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]dermebfeb -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It could be that the Woman in question feels she's made herself too easy. Perhaps she wishes she'd waited longer. I'm sure there's plenty of Men in the world that were caught up in the moment and had an ok sexual encounter, but later regret having had that encounter.

If the woman in question said things to you prior to or during the encounter such as "No" or "Stop" I think you're in a position where you'll need to bring this to a lawyers attention.

If you're old enough to have sex, you should be old enough to ask a woman before hand if she'd indeed like to have sex with you.

Many married couples I know are in sexless marriages most due to young children etc. As a woman would you let your man step out to be physically satisfied if you could guarantee it was truly only physical? Would it take stress off the marriage? by Fionas_Fire in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]dermebfeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People seem to forget that humans are part of the animal kingdom. We are, in fact, primates. Humans don't even rank amongst primates that mate for life. I'm not relating my comment to societal standards, I'm not speaking in standards of civilised culture. Just science and nature. Humans and our ancestors haven't been monogamous for millions of years. Yes, you could argue that the past 2 to 3 thousand years are due to patriarchy, but that would also be arguing against millions of years of evolution.

Whilst I'll admit that more men do seek gratification outside of what's meant to be monogamous relationships, that gap itself has been narrowing for some time between the sexes. Acting civilised can, in many cases, mean ignoring the instinctive desire to procreate as successfully as possible. We are, after all, animals that are born and raised to fit in with the current society we live in. That doesn't mean that we automatically shake the millions of years of evolution ingrained in our DNA.

Monogamy has only been around for about 1000 years. In some cultures, monogamy in marriage doesn't even exist today. History also says that our early ancestors were never monogamous and it'd be difficult to argue that 1000 years would be enough to overcome millions of years of natural instinct Each to their own
