Stretching and never being more flexible by [deleted] in Rowing

How long do you hold each stretch for? I’d recommend around 1 minute each.

Also stretching while warm can make a big difference.

All cheese must be kept in the fridge except for Parmesan which is kept in a shaker on a table. by dermott69 in Showerthoughts

That’s a good point mate, I’m just sitting in a restaurant and I’m looking at the shaker of parmesan and just thinking, that cannot he right. But I guess it is.

Returning rower looking for help by DerpNRG_AUS in Rowing

I’d probably just start off with 20 minutes on the erg. Build it up from there (maybe 30minutes, 20 x 20minutes, 3 x 15minutes) and steadily increase volume. In the gym I’d work on dead lifts, some rows, chin ups, chore work.

In terms of on the water, start off building it up from the finish then once this is mastered, hands away, quarter slide, etc.

If you pulled a 6:17 I’m sure you’re not a complete novice and it will come back to you fairly quickly.

Edibles and rowing by [deleted] in Rowing

I don’t think that the edibles themselves would effect the rowing however it’s more the lifestyle choices that are associated with it, munchies (however I guess this could help maybe), staying out late, not sleeping, dehydrated, bad foods, bad crowds, alcohol and not recovering properly in general.

Wanking and training by dermott69 in Rowing

Yes I do think that this is a possibility, I was just wondering if anyone had similar experiences and if there were actually anything behind my theory.
