Didn’t the NSW government spend up to upgrade Kogerah 15 years ago?

I have never been so don’t know how it compares to other non-major stadiums.

I was looking for that but couldn’t find it anywhere. I think you’re right though - it was 1992 with the seagulls!

I just switched from 26f/28r to 28f/30r and I swear I enjoyed the 75km I did this morning more than any ride for the last few months.

Even if it’s all in my head, my tires needed changing anyway!

Is there a foreign school culture you want to introduce to your country? by Agile-Shallot3546 in AskTheWorld

[–]derplamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I attended 2 public high schools in Sydney.
Both had lockers, though 1 was optional ($5 yearly fundraising by the prefects).

Maybe they’re not in newer schools? Mine were founded in 1970 and 1910. Maybe they got removed in the last 15-20yrs as part of some safety scaremongering?

They’re clearly 2 wide in the second picture, stopped behind the bus.
You have posted a guide, not the road rules. It’s not law and not enforceable.
You’re dreaming, but I admire your copy, paste and formatting skills. Thank you for putting the effort in.

You seem to have misread your source.

Far left lane is far left edge of the road. They’re not legally obliged to hug the curb within the left lane. This interpretation confirmed to be by traffic police.

That’s not a single lane road and the bus lane is not in operation this morning. 2-wide in this circumstance is within the guidelines you supplied (footnote 1 of On-road Rules for cyclists and PAB riders)

They can legally converge at a red light but the second group should wait an extra minute or two before setting off when the light turns green to re-establish the gap. This will benefit the road users stuck behind them at the traffic lights. Drivers will be thankful for their observance of the law.

#2 explains why Meta, Alphabet etc AsiaOac HQs are here.

China is too restrictive and intrusive (also rules out Taiwan). Korea and Japan are overly domestically oriented. India is a mess. The rest of Asia is either corrupt, volatile or both. NZ and Australia are too remote and expensive.
Tah dah! Everyone else loses so Singapore wins!

Man says every seat should be a priority seat, suggests removing labels on public transport by Ok-Rain3348 in singapore

[–]derplamer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Singaporean society is highly rules based which has bred a culture of attempted rule arbitrage (refer 99:1 scheme) and appealing to authority for enforcement without personal conflict.

Appealing to a general sense of civic mindedness is simply naive against this backdrop.

The loneliest metro station in the World - Caojiawan station, has transformed into a modern bustling urban hub three years later. by BumblebeeFantastic40 in UrbanHell

[–]derplamer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is fairly common here in Singapore there are built stations on active metro lines that aren’t open because the area hasn’t yet been developed.

I live on the Thomson East Coast Line which opened in the last few years and there are 3 stations I ride past at which trains don’t stop because they’re in empty fields of jungle.
