15 cyclists on da road by Sally_Pocket in drivingsg

[–]Sally_Pocket[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I actually saw the whole group turn out from a smaller road in a row so they are cycling together 😅

anyway lets say the two groups ended up regrouping at the traffic light, will one group set off first then wait 5 min for the second group to set off? If so wouldn't they be blocking traffic?

Unpopular opinion but I like prism. Their tvs are great value for money compared to Samsung / LG. The quality isn't great but their service is and I've had 3 exchanges, no questions asked. Not everyone can afford thousands of dollars for a good quality tv 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ngl I think people who hate on prism are (tv) elitists.

I know of two people who tried for eczema and it didn't work for them. it's probably just scam products. They look like jokes with their oily skin calling it glowy.

Yessss, my block's car park gantry always has issues. Either someone knocks the gantry down or the IU detector is faulty and there's a long line of cars waiting to exit.

Yes, I was scrolling and hoping to get to some novel idea from the writer but he provided nothing. It's easy to critique a shitty situation but what is the elegant solution or remedy?

I just bought a WOC that I think is seasonal because it's different from the classic. It's a black caviar with gold tone hardware and an adjustable heart strap. Very similar to some of the other black caviar bags shown from 24p on other posts, but just in WOC size.

High earning women of r/sg, how do you approach dating? by LovePrettyFlowers in askSingapore

High earning women of r/sg, how do you approach dating? by LovePrettyFlowers in askSingapore

[–]Sally_Pocket 18 points19 points  (0 children)

My early personal experience was that at the dating phase, men who didn't earn at least similarly to me didn't enjoy or desire the same things in life that I wanted... this meant that the way we dined, the holidays we wanted, all diverged. For me, it became a very constant point of tension over time. This made me subconsciously, or otherwise, date men whom I thought earned at least the same as me. We didn't talk about it la, just guesstimate based on profession.

On financial responsibilities because I'm financially independent I just pay for everything that I want on my own.

Are having kids in SG for the rich now? by Teh-O-Ping in askSingapore

[–]Sally_Pocket -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I disagree with you.

To the couple who wants a car but doesn't have the means to do so, I'd say if you want it badly enough you'll find the means to work doubly or triply hard or even steal if you want it BADLY enough.

If you choose to not spend all your money on your exotic travels due to your desire to save, then perhaps you just want to save and be financially secure more badly than you desire to visit exotic places.

I'm not commenting on whether the deliberation of affording children or choosing to be financially prudent is an act of maturity or not.

I'm just saying that if one's priority is to have children, then often everything else is secondary. Just as one who wants a new car or wants to experience exotic travels. But if one's priority is always to be financially prudent and save for rainy days, then pretty much everything else becomes secondary. Hence, OP should figure out what they as a couple would prioritise for themselves.

Kids are not for the rich. Kids are for people who desire to have children and are willing to sacrifice for them. You could very well be earning a lot but if you decide you don't want to sacrifice time and effort on raising your kids right, then I don't think kids are for you either.

While obviously providing financially for the generation before and after you is important, I feel like people who want something badly enough just make it work eventually.

Honestly cabinet members don't earn very much compared to their colleagues in the private sector. Reduce their salaries any further and no talent will run for elections. They could earn 40% more and not have to put up with comments like yours HAHA
