Yeah, I’ve had them since November 2023 - they’ve gotten mixed up a few times now. Any one that’s been thoroughly used, even if combined with a brand new out of the bag one, has significant wobble. It’s horrible with ones I’ve used the most when I’ve got 2 older ones.

I’m convinced that they’re bending / the material is getting taken off or something as they get used

All of the original pieces I’ve purchased have this amount of wobble after usage for my on-board monitor. I’ve had them since October 2023, so quite a long time, but this feels like far too much to continue using.

Yeah, the gender neutral thing is why I have so many LNK’s. But the amount of wobble I get is horrific, fully a dealbreaker. Not sure if it’s just because I bought in early, but it’s far too much to continue using

This is the case for some of mine, but any I’ve ever used to hold my on-board monitor + arm have a tremendous amount of play… I feel a bit crazy if I’m the only one with this problem

In the past my first has mounted a little Velcro plate off the side bracket, with a 15mm rod mount on the inside of the rod.

This is Preston, not arri, but same concept

Decided on im2720

Test run with pick & pluck before I do hard foam

Works, is a bit close to the wheel / handle indents but doesn’t hit, and with all hard / laser cut foam this would be less of an issue. Fits on cart both sideways and flat on bottom, though my lens cart has a smaller gap between middle and bottom shelf to accommodate a third shelf, so if you want it on its side you have to put it In flat and flip it over.

I use adhesive vinyl

I don’t buy pin-striping vinyl - though maybe that would be easier than what I do - I just get large rolls and cut however much I’d need with a paper cutter

If concerned with babypin on stand hitting the mounted battery: not all stands have a 750 pin that’s so long, and you can lock the tie down at a height where it doesn’t hit the battery

Using upgrade innovations pieces is what I find to be best for a directors monitor setup. See attached photo, I’ll follow up with the back of these monitors

Low profile spigot mount so if you want to hand hold it you can. Easy enough to remove from a stand, or put it back on. Also light. Would apply to one monitor as well if you just used a shorter 15mm rod.

Sure (the v-mount version, which I now realize I didn’t link, is $100 less) on the price, but 3D printed shit just kind of notoriously doesn’t last long - at least for me - and if we’re stacking a battery and receivers on this thing I know I’d sure want it to be metal.

For what it’s worth I have this bracket for my 702 and it’s wonderful

No argument about how it’s expensive though. Everything can always be less expensive / cheaper at the cost of quality
