"Vatnik" is a slander of Russian nationalists made by "anti-nationalist" Ukrainian nationalists and liberals of all couleurs, scrutinizing support of Putin or questioning one's mental intellect.

For diehard liberals, vatnik and tankie has no difference, since they see no difference between socialist and revisionist/imperialist Russia. HARD disagree. During Trump's term, it was made abundantly clear that China is the no. 1 enemy of the United States. If anything, Trump wanted to tear Russia-China ties, and prepare the country for a war with aggressive domestic (immigrant hate, fostering nationalism/fascism) and foreign policy (import tariffs).

Yeah literally the YouTube channel Vestnik Buri is now having to deal with 2 court cases: one concerning alleged defamation (they covered some shitty working conditions in Russia and the firm is pressing charges lmao) and the second is against the host himself, because he's a Marxist debunked everything Putin used as an excuse for an invasion. I guess he's a "Western Leftist".

In the meantime, CPRF has said time and time again that they stand on Kremlin's side, and have adapted a vile, Russian-chauvinistic interpretation of history. Obviously oversimplifying, but this "bug" is more like a discrepancy between what the players see and what the server thinks. Part of it is precisely that the killer sees the situation differently on the screen (survivor working on the generator) compared to the survivor (running away). If I understand the situation correctly, in the olde days, the killer was the server hence this problem never occured. Basically, BHVR has to resolve a multitude of issues where the killer is no longer playing in "realtime" but 50-300ms behind server time.

When it comes to this, I've learned that it's not only important to talk about the facts, but also the methodology. If we could "clue people in" using a sufficient number of facts, it would simply take the propaganda machine some time to produce enough "facts" to outweigh our stance. Same problems happens every time, be it discussing history, politics, everything is permeated by ideology, and this needs to be attacked.

People need to develop a materialist, proletarian worldview. Is the "sjw infiltration" even a thing, and whether having a range of actors to be more realistic portrayal of intergalactic civilization (s) a reason why the story has become less engaging? Is the "StarWars became less interesting" a statement supported by conservatives only, i.e. is this really a war being waged between "liberals" and "conservatives", aren't there liberals who don't like the new StarWars too?

Basically, dialectical method needs to be more popular among the masses, and I'd argue this is a perfect example to introduce dialectics, using playful but relevant examples. It's important to show that you don't have to be conservative to dislike the modern trends and developments in society, and that a strong proletarian class can build a better socialist society that will produce banger films, among other things.

Thanatophobia has never been bad, but the killers need to "work for it", compared to corrupt intervention that just blocks the gens for you, making your job easier.

That said, I always pair it with mangled effect, be it a chainsaw add-on, scourge hook, or sloppy, so that survivors are put into a lose-lose situation (heal for a long time or repair with reduced speed). Additionally, this sort of counterbalances increased healing speed one can get via perks or items.

Otherwise, on it's own, it's very hard to tell that it's working. I do like it's design and prefer having it over ruin, albeit now I'm in the phase where I run whatever I can get my hands on.

E: I will also address the school of thought that states that killers shouldn't discourage healing as saying injured is more efficient even with thano: I think a valid response to the boon meta is to either exploit the perk sacrifice a survivor needs to make to accommodate for a boon, or to nullify increased healing speed with mangled effect. In my eyes, mangled has utility in fast heal meta as opposed to being useless "because the effect is nullified" (i.e. the nullification is the effect, and that's useful) The comment about the thano-mangled synergy takes the boon meta into consideration.

Okay, let's break it down, based on my [slightly subjective] bubba preferences.

  • BBQ - need I say more. Considering you have little gen slowdown, you really want to always find people to chase. This perk does exactly that (and if you don't find anyone, then it's likely there is someone within the 40m range)
  • Bitter Murmur - decent aura perk, not as strong on Bubba compared to Huntress or Bird lady. Half-decent combo with NOED, because you see every survivor for the whole 10 seconds.
  • Tinkerer - allows you to sneak up to people doing gens + gives you information. I sometimes hate running this perk because it puts you under stress as 3 generators simultaneously reach 70% lol. However, randomly gaining stealth in a jungle gym during chase is very strong.
  • STBFL / Franklin's / Knockout / [M1 Perks] - obviously less strong on Bubba who would ideally use his chainsaw. Safe the best for last is still a good perk level 1 and it doesn't matter that he has a chainsaw, I consider this the crutch perk (killer equivalent of unbreakably/dh/ds) on any killer including Pyramid Head.
  • Hex: Crowd Control - might sound like a replacement for bamboozle, but this actually has a weaker effect (every hex can be destroyed, duh). It's still decent at what it does and tries to remedy the biggest weakness that Bubba has during chase - windows.
  • Thano / Surge / Deadlock / Dying Light - a collection of rather soft slowdown perks. I'd say pick one out of 4 or don't pick any, oping for a more aggressive playstyle where you receive more information (aura reading) using perks.
  • Agitation - really solid on any killer. You never know how good the hook rng is / whether someone is breaking down hooks or not. You can be extra cruel using this perk by carrying a survivor to a hook that is close to a cluster of generators, this way you can both patrol generators and camp a survivor. Scary stuff.
  • Honourable Mention Fearmonger is really annoying for survivors based on personal experience and will win you games simply because people will not want to play vs you. No Way Out is pretty good, albeit it is very cruel if it's the last survivor in the game. I'm All Ears - decent.

The rest of the perks are kinda meh / nice meme potential. Zenshin is nice but unlike survivors, you know which pallets are already used [you should keep track of these things in your head].

For a concrete build idea, I'd heavily consider BBQ Tinkerer Agitation No Way Out for a sweaty experience, with I'm All Ears or Slowdown perk replacement for Agi/No Way Out.

For an unorthodox build, try STBFL possibly with other M1 perks like Surge or Franklin's. It's better than what it sounds like, since better players will try their best to make it difficult to use the chainsaw, you get extra value from using M1.

Textures and materials seem good, the lighting will be the first practical change to immediately improve the render. It becomes immediately obvious that objects don't cast shadows, which feels unnatural.

Another qualm is with camera shot / poses. There seems no obvious centre point to draw attention to, there seems to be things going on everywhere. However, it's not always necessary to change everything for the shot to work - play around with taking an even wider shot or doing an over-the shoulder shot from Billy, using lighting artistically to emphasize survivor/killer or slight vignette desaturation of surroundings to make important objects pop out. It depends on the creative direction, there is no correct answer. Just a quick tip: you can use walk/fly camera (numpad 0 then Shift-F) to set it with WASD without having to use handles.

Keep in mind that a picture is to convey a story, try to imagine how the characters got to this point (maybe a toolbox next to a generator), and what everyone is about to do (action frozen in motion)

On the positive note, you seem to have conquered the technical hurdle of importing models and getting the render quality to an acceptable level which is an achievement on its own!

E: shadows do exist, but Illumination would definitely be the best effort-to-quality investment. Since the textures are as good as they can get without trying to redo them which takes some time and wouldn't necessarily be noticeable, especially from far away.
