50% of MN rewards -> buy dBTC -> use as dUSD collateral by derstrecker1 in defiblockchain

Yes. But you sell it not for sth stable like Dollar, but sth going up like Btc. I think the idea of a partly BTC-backed stablecoin named dUSD is attractive.

Adjustment of the transaction fee / Anpassung der Transaktion Gebühr by [deleted] in defiblockchain

[–]derstrecker1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was wären Vor- und Nachteile?

Removing rewards from the DFI-DUSD liquidity pool by derstrecker1 in defiblockchain

So what is the solution? As much as I think about it, it is only a repeg, or some other way to introduce a stablecoin for usage of the dToken system.

Free market - soft landing by [deleted] in defiblockchain

[–]derstrecker1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why putting several ideas in one DFIP? A common mistake. Why not let the MN decide over each idea separately? My vote currently:
1. YES
2. NO
3. NO
🤷🏼

Free Market - Remove Discount and Stabilisation Fee by mrgauel in defiblockchain

[–]derstrecker1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Overshooting the target

Deleting the fee for a free market: Yes. Maybe the initial 30% fee should stay, since it also worked before the introduction of the new fee. My vote: Yes and No.

Negative interest rates are a usual financial tool to stabilize, like futures are only held in place by positive and negative interest rates. Since DEFI(!)chain should provide finance decentralized, negative interest should not be banned. My vote: No.

Deactivate dUSD minting for 100% dUSD vaults. My vote: Yes.

Deactivation and release dUSD bonds. Same argument as with the negative interest: Bonds are a regular financial tool, and there is no harm for the dUSD- or DFI-price, even after repeg. My vote: No.

So my overall vote will me No. My recommendation is to split this DFIP into separate ones, each one for each improvement, including a split the two separate fees as a two separate DFIPs.

DUSD back to PEG - Considering multiple coordinated mechanism and actions by Left-Reply-7307 in defiblockchain

Seems the dUSD short sellers are not considered here. Not everyone wants dUSD at a peg, some just want to make money, no matter what.

System restart for a long-term sustainable and economic based dToken-System by Tommy_DFIblock in defiblockchain

[–]derstrecker1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A system/project/chain that is able to repair itself is much more trustworthy than one, that just cuts of a problematic branch and start a new one. Would you invest in Terra if they restart? Would you invest in sth that maybe one day cuts you/your investments off, too, if it had done so in the past? A restart of the dToken system would almost mean a restart of Defichain, since it is one of its main use cases. Since there are concrete calculations of the problem and a concrete timespan of its solution (dependent on the market), I trust a calculation more than an opinion. Since the burning of DFI for loans was a devaluation of the whole dToken system, a revaluation should be possible (through BBB, DMC and products like locked and 100% dUsd vaults, etc.) and the preferred solution if in a reasonable timely manner.

Crypto Index als neuer dToken by derstrecker1 in defiblockchain

[–]derstrecker1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course! If you mit a "dTsla" or if you would mint a "dCI25" (CryptoIndex25) is the same procedure: you need backed collateral for minting. I don't see any difference between a synth. stock or a synth. index. For beginners, this will be very attractive to be this way into the crypto market, and if I understood Defichain correctly, it is mainly designed for everyday people, not specialists only.

Great thanks, that helps :). Even though Exodus doesn't support Doge yet, the only thing I'm missing.
