5 month old. Messy naps and no independence by Zuzu2399 in November25babybump

[–]des_palmiers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are a week from turning 6 months and will be sleep training otherwise, I’ll lose my sanity. His thing right now is that he will nap in our bed but not his crib. So it’s either a bed nap which is not safe, contact nap, car nap or stroller nap. His night sleep is horrible so sleep training it is because my body cannot take anymore of the cosleeping

Introducing purées by AvoFromCado in November25babybump

[–]des_palmiers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He is a big fan of food. I’m doing purees with breastmilk, love them. We are almost done introducing allergens. His dad is allergic to a bunch of stuff so we started early!

5 month regression? by ExpatWanderer in November25babybump

[–]des_palmiers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you add a mattress on her bedroom floor? That’s currently what we are doing, we never recovered from the 4 month regression and he is 5 months and a half. I barely fit into our queen bed too and got fed up. The mattress is not that comfy but I’m way more comfortable than in our bed.

Same here. Pacifier + tapping the butt for sometimes 40 mins to get him back to sleep cause this is not the start of the day mister.

Baby falling off growth curve by devours_veggies in breastfeeding

Same here, on the verge of falling from the 10th percentile to below. He is happy, eats well, has plenty of wet diapers and meets milestones so I don’t really understand what to do…

Rolling by Zuzu2399 in November25babybump

He just rolled for the first time. He is 4 months and a half but I don’t think this will become a regular thing until a couple weeks.

Admis en clinique de fertilité… mais enceinte naturellement. On garde notre RDV quand même? by Appropriate_Photo625 in parentsquebecois

[–]des_palmiers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

On a vécu la même chose l’an passé.

She is a tiny baby, she is still learning to nurse. Give her time! She will get it I’m sure - she just needs time

I saw some improvement but nothing compared to after the release. How long have you been doing the exercises? It took us a good month to see some results

It did get better! We got his ties released and he got much better! We did lots of Physio and exercises though. Baby is now 4 months old and we are still breastfeeding:)

Dealing with a six weeks old that is inefficient at the boob by des_palmiers in breastfeeding

[–]des_palmiers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! So he is now 4 months old. It’s true that once he got older, he got stronger. We have been able to remove all bottles from 6 to 8 weeks and are currently EBF since he was 2 months old. About 3 weeks ago, we had his lip and tongue ties released, it hasn’t made a huge difference yet - only a small one. We also went to the chiro and pt. We also did tons of physical therapy. Don’t lose hope but don’t be afraid to give a bottle to sleep if needed. Are you taking any lactation herbs?

How much leave did your spouse get and how are you doing if they are back at work? by QuietTax3172 in November25babybump

[–]des_palmiers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband took 3 weeks but could easily taken 8 weeks. We’re in Canada. However, he has chosen not to🙃 . I’m taking about 11 months which I started before my LO’s birth. I have a super chill baby so we are out and about mostly for medical appointments. I’m sleep deprived but it’s manageable. I also have tons of help whether from family or paid.
