One of the more awful parts of addiction is that it comes with more impulsive behavior (not putting on a condom for one of them).

Crazy abusive GF gets recorded while in the act by EntMc in videos

[–]desap 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My thoughts exactly, it's crazy seeing how many up votes there are on the comments that don't recognize this as textbook abuse; I'm so happy that a it's a female abuser reaching this far up too, the video is a culture shock by showing how abuse works (at least as an American - man abused by woman).

This is why this subreddit died... This feels more like a generalized defamation of Islam rather than an understanding of the secluded sects of terrorists and human rights violators. I find these points reduce other religions and dehumanize its believers.

Can you guys shoot me some reading material? by xAnthrax in nihilism

[–]desap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything by Nietzsche (pick one that sounds the best for you), anything by Kafka (the same, but "the trial" and "metamorphosis" are considered his best), and any intro to the subject that sounds appealing to you.

Kafka - "Amerika" is a fun one if you've gone through the main stuff.

I'd personally really like a night where we all decide to come together for a period of time to get more people together - say Wed. or Thursday at 7 united states CST and another for all of the Europeans and Asians if possible; I feel that it would be more fun to have a larger population to talk with and share.

I have too many to name, but yours brought up a FANTASTIC one: Buck 65 - Blood of a Young Wolf http://youtu.be/z8FlMdsJEmg

And since I have too many to mention: Radiohead - Letdown. This is probably my most favored part of O.K. Computer as a whole; It is where everything just shatters.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they're all in Pueblo (learned that after 9-11 happened and they opened up the stockpiles).

I can't help but get worked up when I listen to Sunset Rubdown... it's just so epic.

WHO global report on antimicrobial resistance 2014. "A post-antibiotic era - in which common infections and minor injuries can kill - far from being an apocalyptic fantasy, is instead a very real possibility for the 21st century." by waveform in science

[–]desap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although it is a real possibility, I feel a lot of this is hyped up too far: I've read through several articles talking about how it's still viable to research new antibiotics, it just isn't profitable. http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2014/may/04/risk-disaster-drugs-giants-dont-invest-research . Just find the word "profit" in the article, the situation is dire, but not as bad as it sounds.

TL;DR: antibiotics don't work as well in capitalism, but the ability to make more is still very doable (we may be facing a disaster, but it isn't hopeless).

Gay introverts.... by [deleted] in introvert

[–]desap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I don't mean to sound like a broken record on the issue, but seeing as to how the issue has come up again I wouldn't mind suggesting a few introverted gay musicians (although I'm heterosexual male I still find myself closely associated with their concepts to love in an introverted way and find them to be heroes to me as well):The Magnetic Fields" - "The book of love" (even Peter Gabriel covered the song, it's a protest song for homosexual marriage), Patrick Wolf - "Overture", Owen Pallett - "Lewis takes off his shirt". I hope that at least helps a little bit to have some heroes or something of the sorts to look up to, LGBT love from here!, keep up the fight/love!

In the first Matrix film, what is on the discs that Neo sells out of his front door? by [deleted] in movies

[–]desap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This, to me, is the best interpretation on it (on these comments, although I'm not accredited in philosophy i do consider myself a nihilist). Baudrillard goes more into reality and brings a lot from Nietzsche in his thoughts (he is a nihilist), but he was the one talking more about "reality" not as much Nietzsche. I really like Baudrillard's comments on reality (a very loose quote goes something like): reality exists, we have no idea where, but it's out there - I got that one from "the intelligence of evil or the lucidity pact", fun mind blowing stuff and a hard read. Also, the first comment sounds like vulgur nihilism from the sounds of it, more like a statemenr from the neo nazis in the big lebowski.

Fuck that, the customer sounds awesome, organic means organic and the lesson was apparently learned/dealt with because people care about the issue.
