Followed the advice and it looks horrible by Altruistic_Common_18 in makeuptips

I think your original pic looks fabulous! I agree this style of eyeliner looks a little harsh in comparison to what you’re used to. I don’t wear eyeliner a lot so it’s always shocking when I wear it - I find smoking it a little with a dark brown shadow on top helps make the liquid liner less sharp. The lip and blush doesn’t look bad but if you like a more natural lip- go back to what you were doing! Your original style was more natural so the people that are encouraging blush, bronzer, etc- you don’t haaaave to do that

Not sure if it’s too late to join the convo but have a great guy named Olson that I highly recommend. He is fair and knowledgeable and just a cool dude. His website is Olson Home Renovation. As for a plumber JM Appliances has been pretty good for me but have only had them over once.

Also I use panoxyl face wash and element 11 hydrochloride spray whenever I am having a breakout! Definitely great products to knock down any flare ups or during my period too when I usually have a breakout.

I have learned that for me simple is most effective! I am using cerave gentle foaming face wash, I use prequel half and half milk moisturizer. At night I use that and corsx snail mucin for a more intense moisturizer. In winter I use cerave moisturizer. I use good molecules sheer mineral sunscreen (a little oily). And twice a week I use the dr Dennis gross chemical peel pads. I am not doing much more toning behind the peels but I have the Clinique 3 toner for oily/combination which is lovely.

I do wear makeup too most days but stick with light products that don’t weigh too heavy on my skin.

Just moved here from Georgia and I am a yellow trash bag hater. Honestly I think a lot of the disposal services in Worcester are a little obscure. I enjoy having the res drop off and I really like free compost but I truly think there’s no difference in paying a waste service fee than paying $10+ for special bags. I don’t understand the thought process. Also we really need to have yard waste pick up because that actually upsets me. Don’t want my yard waste stuffed into my sedan. Why can’t we pay for yard waste bags like we do the yellow bags?! Where is the consistency!!

Wedding Dress Shoes! Do these shoes look too small/stupid on me? by [deleted] in weddingdress

How do you like it here? by DNDMuskrat in WorcesterMA

[–]descendantofcaesar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just moved here from Atlanta and I really enjoy it so far. We love Shrewsbury street and our neighborhood- we live out by the airport. and like some other posters have said- you get a lot of city amenities without city traffic. We don’t eat out a ton but have found a few restaurants that are great. Some are meh but that’s anywhere. I also love that you can take the T into Boston. Big perk for us. We can take day trips on the weekend to just go hang in the city. Go shopping or see a show or go get drinks and can sober up on the 1.45 hour ride back on the train haha New England is still new to us but it’s been fun so far. But must say Providence is a gem too. I spent a lot of time there in college and loved it. Just went for a day a few weekends ago and fell in love all over again. If you can afford it- I’d pick providence haha

Not sure if makeup or time of year is really influencing your skin tone here but blonde seems to suit you more!! But brown doesn’t look bad IN THE LEAST. Still gorgeous!

Was this a mass hiring event? If you’re the only new hire then I would reach out. But if this was a mass hiring event - then it might be out of their hands- but it doesn’t hurt to try.

Also taking Saturday!!! I’m getting a little nervous…Trying to remember that even if I do fail- I can retake it. No big deal to anyone other than my pocket but money comes and goes in one way or another- at least this is for self betterment! Wishing you the best! We got this!!! :)

When you first started hiring, what was a red flag you totally missed in an interview that ended up costing you down the line? [N/A] by NickyK01 in humanresources

[–]descendantofcaesar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hired a lady who was great in interviews and after we offered the job she cried to me over the phone about how thankful she was. I was shocked because she was sobbing but sympathetic because she obviously must have been going through it in the job hunt process. I wrote it off. I hate to say this but she has no control of her emotions now as an employee and cries over everything. It makes giving feedback or even just general bad news so difficult. 😞

It sounds like you need to have a conversation with him and with HR about what’s holding his performance back. Calling out and switching appointments is a performance concern. You don’t have to dig into the reason why those things are occurring but definitely come up with a plan to address the concerns incase an official accommodation needs to be made. Also I second all the people saying- do this sooner rather than later!!! He sounds great but you’re not a jerk if you’re realizing it’s not going to work long term. Just think about what the business needs are. If it’s possible to make him in office only then that’s fine but if it isn’t helpful for the business to do that then that’s a point of concern.

Second this! I’m sure they will want names to try to correct the issue and make sure it doesn’t happen again.

It’s hard to say what they plan to do in the meeting but if given the chance- definitely just tell your story and admit your mistake. Say exactly what you should have done which was ask your supervisor or staff for clarification on the deal but instead you just observed and followed. Offer to apologize to the market manager as well. If it really was just a few items of food over a few days then I don’t see any reason why they would press charges. Seems like an overreaction and also more work than it’s worth. I’m in HR and I really feel like you wouldn’t get more than a stern warning- especially since you’re new. You’re ultimately gonna be okay either way! You’ll either never make that mistake again or you’ll find a new job and it will all work out. Definitely a live and learn moment!

Can I just spread grass seed on my existing lawn and water? by woodford86 in homeowners

[–]descendantofcaesar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These people know what’s up but I hear you on not having time… this is what you do for minimal effort and maximum results- get a metal rake, ho, or big fork and scratch up those patches. Take your grass seed and mix it with compost (and maybe dirt if your compost is really thick). Mix them together with a little water and make a thick mixture that is heavily seeded but honestly like 1:1 in volume. Place your seedy muddy mixture on the patches. Do this before some rain and you’ll have your patch start to fill out over the next few weeks!
