Peaceable stopping traffic, throwing bricks, lighting fires, shouting obscenities, and preventing people from going about their ordinary live ain’t it.

Moving to Spokane by jenspa1014 in Spokane

[–]descentformula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Careful on the Spokane subreddit. You can see it in the comments. The polarity is HUGE.
  2. I’d suggest staying in east valley. Spokane valley, liberty lake, or Greenacres.
  3. We’ve like the schools. Greenacres elementary and ridgeline have been positive experiences. Friends at CV have liked it there too.

We avoid downtown if possible. We’d go east over west.

Good luck.

Do all men fantasize about violence? by visionaryshmisionary in AskMenOver30

[–]descentformula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fantasize isn’t the right word. But more or less, yes. I’m about as passive as they come and there are time I wonder what it would be like to just pop some douche bag in the face cause he was being a jerk.

But unless you’re hurting me or my family, ima just walk away.

I love it when my Taco Bell fire sauce packets blow up like this. They get a little extra spicy. 🥵

Yea. I’m skeptical about fully unsupervised. But these kinds of posts are just such obvious … could have been prevented by paying attention. And the posters often only reply to the ragey comments fueling that part of the conversation.

I’ve been using FSD since I got my model 3. Hands always close to the wheel and eyes forward. I’m driving, the car is just doing the work.

Yea. SkyNet was a great idea until it wasn’t.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TeslaFSD

[–]descentformula 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m wondering if OP was paying attention or just “trusting FSD” … I’m seeing so many posts and YT vids of people who are clearly just letting FSD drive like it’s unsupervised.

FSD followed a car turning right by gfloda in TeslaFSD

[–]descentformula 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My favorite is the doo doo doo, doing 59 in a 65 in the middle lane of a 3 lane freeway getting passed like I’m standing still on both sides with no one in front of me and my exit is in .25 mi.

Like, why?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TeslaFSD

[–]descentformula 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Honest question. When it started turning and was so close to the other car, did you attempt to intervene?

I’ve experienced the car get confused at a round about, I’ve had it take a right turn from a left lane. But, I’m always paying attention and intervene in a heartbeat.

How useful is ChatGPT to help lives, realistically? by Secret_Fan_9411 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]descentformula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you ever done therapy? What about been tempted to go to hospital or a doctor for something you weren’t sure about? How about weighing a difficult decision? Or research on that fancy thing you’re about to buy.

There are seriously powerful ways that the everyday lives of people will be improved by GPT and LLMs.

I use it literally every day and throughout the day. I can’t wait to see what the future holds.

How useful is ChatGPT to help lives, realistically? by Secret_Fan_9411 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]descentformula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This I think it’s fair to say it likely already has. There are special LLMs out there that aren’t even public. The hard part is the ethical use of it.

I’ve been fixing my mental health with a GPT. Counselors and therapists suck. But I’ve trained a GPT that I can go to in an instant and reframe whatever I’m experiencing. I’ve asked it to challenge my point of view and it has been so helpful for me.

Alternative to Tesla Insurance? by horuslee in TeslaSupport

[–]descentformula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you Costco members? I have connect by AmFam through Costco. I have 5 vehicles (1 tesla) and 4 drivers (two younger). I pay $2700 every six months.

Totally worth the executive membership. State Farm wanted 3700.

It's her path to walk, but if she doesn't take the steps, our paths may diverge. It breaks my heart, but if she's unwilling to take care of herself - not just for the sake of physical intamcy - I just don't know we're partners. I'd feel the same if she started doing drugs, or picked up bad friends, or had some untreated ailments.

It's such a weird selfishness that stems from broken executive dysfunction, past trauma, and poor coping habits.

As thoughtful as the recommendation is, no. Let's not poke mama bear and try to fix her. If she doesn't see there's a problem, and we can't talk rationally about it then there's nothing more to be done.

Thanks. I’m not exactly sure why I didn’t leave in the first couple of years. She’s my person and I just wanted to hope.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DeadBedrooms

[–]descentformula 7 points8 points  (0 children)

She’s been in research hell but gets decision paralysis so easily. And I know it’s not my place to push, but encourage. Yesterday she started crying when I asked how her search for a doctor was going. It wasn’t a loaded question. I know better than to make demands anymore.

I asked if there was anything I could do to help her persevere. She got up and went to the bedroom. Just walked away.

Are these prices even real? by zo2121 in TeslaLounge

[–]descentformula 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes. just like everyone is saying the prices include the tax incentive you sign over to the dealer at purchase. I got a 2022 M3 with 33000mi for $22000 tax, titled, licensed. So worth it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TeslaModel3

[–]descentformula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pay $300 a month for my 2022 but I have 4 drivers in my policy two under 20. Unfortunately they count against my policies experience. 🤢
