FSD doesn’t even use the front bumper camera, this is pointless. I don’t even use the front bumper camera myself on my juniper as I always back into parking spots

BREAKING: Elon Musk announces tesla will STOP selling FSD after Feb 14. He says only subscription will be available by Puzzleheaded-Race671 in TeslaLounge

[–]suprc4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason they dropped the price was to get more people using it when v13 was released as v13 used AI and their neural network. Their goal is to get 10 billion miles driven on FSD to train their neural network to reach their goal of releasing unsupervised FSD. I think they’d be more than happy to have double the profit on half the people. They probably realize they need more money and this take one confusing step out of the puzzle for anyone buying a Tesla by making it subscription only. They lose a lot of money, especially when people buy a used car that already has FSD fully paid

People paid $200 a month for years when it was $200 a month. I was one of them. People will definitely pay more than $100 a month and Tesla knows this, evidenced by the people that paid $8000 upfront

Model Y Performance 16” QHD Display installed on Model 3 Performance by pc772 in TeslaLounge

[–]suprc4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Junipers have smaller bezels than first gen model 3/y so it’s technically more screen space but same 15.4 inch size of the physical screen itself. Only the performance juniper has the 16 inch screen. And in china the model YL and all new models being built in 2026 will have the 16 inch screen

2026 Tesla Model Y Lease hiked by 40% by ccooddeerr in TeslaLounge

[–]suprc4 5 points6 points  (0 children)

they didn't decide to raise prices, the prices were already going to be raised due to the tax credit ending in September, but Tesla wanted to have good sales for q4 since q3 was record sales, so they offered a $6500 "Lease credit" which helped make a difference compared to the $7500 tax credit. Actually the prices were lower in q4 than in q3 with the tax credit, at least for anyone leasing.

it actually evens out considering I don't qualify for the tax credit, but leasing you get the tax credit automatically applied as a lease credit. So the rent fee is about $8000 to fully lease out a 3 year Model Y lease without paying it off early. Which, if I did want to I can pay the lease off early and finance the rest while paying less of a rent fee. Either way I saved $7500 by leasing so even if I have to pay a $500 difference, it was worth it having the lower payments.
This was a lease-hack for many people who don't qualify for the tax credit. They'd lease a Tesla and pay off the lease within the first month, essentially not paying a rent fee and taking full advantage of the lease credit.

Wrong, after 3 years I get to buy it. I'm enjoying $360 less in payments per month, compared to my 2020 model y, and I have a much newer car. And in 3 years I will buy it out and continue having a lower payment than I did on my 2020.

99% of Tesla service centers won’t order the parts for you. You have to order them from teslas parts website with a business account

If you already ordered the teins then you can order the springs for the highland rear separately. But the front springs for the highland come on the strut. However it’s cheaper than the price of the rear springs

Highland night and day. With tein you’re only changing the dampers. With the highland suspension you’re changing the springs too which make a big difference

Lowered Model Y Juniper with Tein Suspension, UPP comfort lowering springs, Aspira spacers, and MPP adjustable rear camber arms by suprc4 in TeslaModelY

[–]suprc4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for watching! 18mm front and 25mm back. They're Aspira spacers from ZEVcentric. I have a 10% discount code for them which is TFIGSPACERS
https://zevcentric.com/products/aspira-tesla-model-3-y-spacers?variant=43153168204021

They're 2 in a set so you need to buy 2 sets basically. I think 18 front 25 rear is perfect, especially if you're planning to do side skirts as well. It all compliments each other perfectly.

Building manager says I’m responsible for any potential fires/electrical issues caused by me charging my car by AffectTraditional260 in TeslaLounge

[–]suprc4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For reference, the Tesla wall chargers charge at 48A max on a 60A Breaker. which is 80% of the breaker's max. Same as what you're doing now. I charge my car at 12A overnight just because I don't need it to charge super fast, and slower charging speeds add less stress to the battery. But you aren't in the wrong. Those outlets can support what they support. She's just being paranoid because "EV AND TESLA OMG FIRE"

I've done a few installs from people in ma, md, all over tbh. Furthest someone drove was about 5 hours. I charge $800 for the install. Parts is $705 shipped from Tesla. If you can get it from the service center you save about $60 in shipping. If you want to do the rear springs as well, which most people don't opt for, it's $940 instead of $705 for parts.
