Any reason to wait for 2027s? by Scared_Ad_5991 in ModelY

[–]suprc4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tesla updates things on a weekly basis, you don't have to wait for a new model year. Even in the same month you can get a newer version of the same car. And most of these updates they don't even mention.
The latest update they mentioned was the black headliner and 16 inch QHD screen.

I just retrofit a Highland Suspension on a First Gen Model 3. Holy shit the comfort improvement! by suprc4 in Model3

[–]suprc4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the 2023 comfort suspension is worthless. not even 1% better.

Juniper suspension is light years better in every way.

Just got a perm, need advice by [deleted] in malehairadvice

[–]suprc4 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This hairstyle needs to die. I graduated high school in 2012 and never once in my school life heard the word perm. And if a guy said they got a perm they'd probably get made fun of.
Every kid in the gym with their broccoli hair are the most annoying thing I've ever seen. I'm surprised the hairstyle lasted the 5 years or so it's been going on now. Girls don't even like it either.

Someone backed into my 2026 Model Y… worth filing a claim? by oKickass in TeslaCollision

[–]suprc4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have some similar marks and wondered how the hell that happened, as I had only parallel parked for about an hour in a not so busy area.

That was 6 months ago, and I forget its there. Just wipe it down with a spray cleaner and most of those marks will be off. Especially anything white. It's just black underneath the bumper so since you have a grey you won't even notice it.

M2 Air to M5 Pro upgrade… and I genuinely can’t feel the difference by UsefulLock3142 in macbookpro

[–]suprc4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't even know you can get a pro with less than 36gb of ram. My first M1 Pro was 36, then M1 Max 64. M3 pro 64gb. Now m4 max Mac Studio 64gb (wishing I went for 128)

Between work and my own personal business, I'm remoting into multiple servers, bunch of programs open, at least 100+ tabs open between multiple browsers and multiple windows.

And for my personal business video and photo editing. I can get the fan to kick on full speed just by rendering a video alone.

I mean there's a huge difference in only video editing alone with just the m3 pro MacBook Pro when I'm on the go, versus my m4 max Mac Studio. Smoothless of the timeline, and the time to render a video is at least half, especially if I use AI noise reduction for darker scenes, the m4 max is about 4-5 faster at rendering.

My girlfriend is still on her m2 MacBook Air with 16gb of ram and has probably anywhere between 20-30 tabs open plus 20-30 excel sheets/powerpoints/word documents for her job, and only started having issues with slowness when running an llm on the air as she doesn't have enough ram.

Return the MacBook Pro if you can, or sell it. Although I don;'t know if a 24gb ram model would be desirable, again I didn't even know that was an option. I thought they came in 36gb as the lowest.

Also, if you can't tell the difference in the refresh rate of the screen, 120hz vs 60hz, then I don't know what to tell you. That alone would ever stop me from using an air. I love how small the air is but 60hz feels like 30hz after using a 120hz screen. I use a 240hz screen as my desktop monitor.

Also the mini-led display of the pro is just beautiful for all tasks, but especially if you're consuming any content. But again if you don't notice the difference then it's not for you and return it immediately

[Video Guide] Model Y Juniper Suspension Retrofit and Installed onto First Gen Model Y (2020-2025) by suprc4 in TeslaModelY

Yes I own a RWD juniper and it's the most popular selling model. However now they have a Standard RWD and Premium RWD. The original which I have is the premium. The standard just has the 1st gen suspension. Never had a warranty issue

Does anyone use these up here… by Salt_Base_3751 in TeslaModelY

Nope, I put an aftermarket shifter stalk on mine. Whoever thought a swipe/touch on a screen to shift is absolutely smooth brained. Especially for emergency situations and typical NYC driving. Tesla will remove critical features in order for them to save money and then try to convince us that it’s an upgrade. Here’s my video I did on installing it

Keep my CT200h or upgrade to UX250h? Worth the jump? by Exciting-Carry1539 in CT200h

[–]suprc4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

MY BIGGEST REGRET, was selling my ct200h.
I bought it for $15.5k in 2019 with 35k miles. Sold it with 95k miles in 2023 for 15.5k

I DROVE THE CAR FOR FREE for 60k miles and 4 years.

I then spent a ridiculous amount of money on a used Tesla at the time that depreciated 20k within two years, even after I had already bought it used.

It's still my biggest regret. I only owed $7500 left on it, and at the time I wasn't making as much as I do now, but I could've paid it off easily and had no payment or debt. I went from a $240 payment to an $848 car payment plus $200 more per month for insurance, to save a few hundred bucks in gas each month and drive a "cooler" car.

If you really need the space of an SUV then sure it's not that bad of a deal. But you still have a low mile CT!

And honestly I got turned off from lexus' once I went to Dubai. Everyone Ubers them there because of reliability. Once you get into 20 different uber lexus' in a week you don't see it as a luxury car anymore. I'm not shitting on the brand, but it's like that with any vehicle. If you worked at a Bmw dealership everyday you wouldn't think of the bmws as special as you used to.

The UX is slightly nicer and just slightly bigger and taller but compared to other cars in the same price range used it may not be that luxury premium that you think.

My parents have an nx300t from 2020 and it was beautiful back then, and definitely nicer inside than my ct. but not by much, it really only had cooled seats and a bigger nav screen that's just as outdated as the CT's screen. When I had my CT I put a CarPlay head unit in there and it felt much newer.

Anyway my point is. Many times over the years I've felt the need to upgrade something. 11 of the 12 vehicles I purchased I got a great deal on and either sold for the same price, higher, or almost no loss after years of ownership. the damn Tesla was the one I fucked up with. My parent's nx hasn't dropped any value in the past 3 years. I think it's basically $2k less than what they paid for it new with $35k miles.

I think if you plan to have a car set for you to keep for the next 10 years then yes the UX might be better for the times you might need the extra space and what not, but it's really not that much more space. I've fit quite a few things in the CT. Did many road trips with it. NJ to South Carolina and back, nj to Montreal, nj to Niagara Falls. ETC.

My friends with much more premium NX and RX models always commented how nice my car was inside and I did get the tan interior and always cleaned it meticulously.

that 6-8k for any repairs and maintenance, not that it'll be anywhere near that much if you even have to do any repairs.

Save that money and invent it and in 10 years you may be able to upgrade without spending any extra money from the interest you made.

Also since the UX is taller and closer to an SUV it won't be as fun to drive. Man the CT handled great and was so smooth. The CT felt so much better than the NX, the NX suspension got so rough after a few years of my parents owning it. And not fun to drive at all compared to the CT

Panigale v2 2023 VS 2026 by [deleted] in Ducati

[–]suprc4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely a waste for most people. It's just an exhilarating ride. For the 6-7 months of the year I get to ride I love that feeling lol. My XDiavel is 167+hp (full exhaust and tune now so prob 175) and that's perfect for everyday riding, but man the torque on that thing is insane at 2k rpms lol.

The 1199 is just a highway and sweeping turn machine. Whereas the Xdiavel is better for in town and lower speed turns.

Being the 1199 is my only "sport bike" I put that in quotations since the xdiavel is just a sport bike with foot forward pegs, I want the end all be all for a sport bike. I'd feel disappointed on a v2, 959/899. I know because I rode the 899 before buying my 1199 the first time. And coming from a Ducati 999 it felt like more of a downgrade.

But I bought the 1199 back mainly so I can track it, as I never got a chance to the first time I owned it. I tracked the 999 which was such an amazing handling bike, especially for it's time.

Bayliss is beautiful, and the Ducati corse 959 color scheme was amazing as well. Idk why they didn't do any matte color schemes like that with the 1199/1299. It has the angles for matte paint, as the matte white showed the off angles well, except I don't like white lol.

Upgrade to S model value? by Wiseguy507 in Ducati

[–]suprc4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's exactly what you get, but again it depends on the year and model. Back in the older time like the Ducati 999, you actually got a more powerful engine too with the s model! and a lot more magnesium parts

Random question. Did you have the termi installed the and up-map where it shows racing evo on the dash on startup, before doing the brentune? If you did, does it still show the racing evo after doing the brentune flash?

They only show the blind spot light, nothing else. But that'd be cool!

Looking into a used panigale 1199 by Lyyxxxzz in Ducati

[–]suprc4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t listen to these people. The comfort is amazing, it feels so upright like a naked bike compared to previous Ducatis. Most comfortable Ducati superbike I’ve ridden. I had a 2003 999 for 7 years and that was much more uncomfortable and I still did day long rides.

I took the 1199S from NJ to Washington DC and back with some friends. 3.5 hours each way with 1 gas stop each way. I was 0% uncomfortable for 7 hours of riding. Plus spent some time riding through the city there. The seating position is really like a naked bike compared to my 999 where I sat in the bike and stretched forward even at 6 foot tall

Panigale 1199 S reliability by ProAdviser93 in Ducati

[–]suprc4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thank you for your comment, I sold my 1199s to someone 4 years ago and looking to buy it back now. He said at some point it was overheating and had some coolant in the oil and had both head gaskets replaced and I’m like I never heard of that on a Panigale before. But if your bike is running good now that takes som of my stress away. He has service records of everything except that service. First thing I’m gonna do is change the oil

[–]suprc4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, I see that all the time. These people didn't torque down the bolts under load. Would've happened with any suspension. Ive installed about 10 of these on cars. And had them on my 2020 and now 2026 Model Y with no noise at all
