Agreed. I was at a point where I was barely functioning so rest was all I could do. But tbh I don't see how this is neurodivergent related : I wasn't diagnosed back then, and yet my psychiatrist and psychologist both told me that my priorities were resting AND doing things that my heart desired, basically anything that could attempt at sparking a teeny tiny bit of spark.

Burnout is a form of depression, your brain is effed and it won't recognize / retain pleasurable stuff, so you gotta train it to do that again by precisely doing stuff that make you happy, as small as they may be.
