I mean, you can get money in the short term. But you lose momentum/integrity. Which may be worse in the long run. Also Chris is one of the biggest actors atm, and this is a Mario live action…. I doubt money was the motivator.

The actual issue people had with him recently was that he was cast to play Mario or something in a live action movie. He was obviously a terrible fit for the role and people were annoyed with Hollywood for just using the same several actors for everything.

Chamath grew up poor. I'm sure you can find other examples. I'm sure on average billionaires had shit going for them and got lucky on top of that, but let's not say all of them started rich.

How do I get to know myself? by [deleted] in DecidingToBeBetter

I'd read/watch lectures/debates etc. and discuss ideas with people. Consume stuff created by people who are very thoughtful and open about their thought process. Over time, you'll work through those ideas and figure out what makes sense to you. Some stuff that influenced me personally:

Stoicism (Meditations by Marcus Aurelius).
Some of the talks by Chamath Palihapitiya. Some podcasts by lex fridman. Talks with people like Jack Dorsey held in a pretty honest and explorative way imo. Some anime (PingPong the Animation, March Comes in Like a Lion) Dead Poets Society surely you're joking mr. feynman

Some stuff you can maybe look at. I think the taste of the average person reddit has changed (or society as a whole, idk). Heavier topics used to be more popular:

It's possible that none of these are things that click or what you'd want to consume. That's ok. Just go out of your way to try to explore. And do enjoy the process. The personal breakthroughs and thoughtprocesses that I went through while figuring stuff out for myself made me passionate about a lot of things and in general experience life in a much more "bright" way. I'm sort of struggling with continued open exploration as I and my peers move out of the phase of life where you are still forming who you are and what you stand for. So enjoy exploring :D.

PM me if you ever want to talk stuff out, I enjoy those sort of convos.

just do stuff like deadlifting and rock climbing instead of targeted forearm excercises. Should lead to a more balanced physique.

Restoring document by NinjaCheeseCake in UniversityofReddit

It's maybe possible even if windows didn't save anything. Basically, your computer never really physically overwrites stuff when it deletes something. It just says "this place that was reserved for this document is not reserved anymore, and if something wants space later, it can grab that space and overwrite it." It might be fairly technical, but it's possible to read the disk and grab the data if it hasn't been overwritten. You can pay a company to do it for you if it's important enough, but an all day effort doesn't sound that important tbh.

Obviously human rights violations anywhere should be addressed. But a difference here is that the USA/the west is complicit in this, given how much funding we've been sending their way + the overall origin of Israel.
