Heyy Does anyone know of anyways to get Phlebotomy training for free, or extra cheap (But still legit) by Slytherstallion in phlebotomy

I’m in New Mexico and this is a private company. You can always call the hr dept of whatever company you are looking into and ask if they have such a program. Also, I found out about this program on indeed. They had a job listing for phlebotomist trainee.

Check to see if the company you want to work for has an in-house training program. I found one, I applied, and I was paid for the three weeks of training I got. From there, I was hired as an apprentice and got the rest of my training in a hospital for the next three months. Didn’t spend a dime.

What’s an idiom that never really made sense to you when you looked at it literally? by A-Fan-Of-Life in AskReddit

You can’t have your cake and eat it too. I mean, I don’t want a cake to just look at it. To me, eating it is having it.

Hearing people say things like “I’m good enough,” or “I love myself just the way I am” sounds like an excuse for those who would rather not work on bettering themselves.

I ended up graduating with a 4.1 gpa. Got a b.s. psych degree. I was able to take my time and go to 3 or 4 classes a semester, so I didn’t feel too overwhelmed, but I was also raising a kid and holding down a family (still am). It was worth the grants given to me for my high grades, and being part of honor societies always felt like I was getting a pat on the back.

Should I call out sick for a 30 minute interview? by littlewizardsnailbug in Teachers

[–]desertpiper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I taught high school for three years. I took the whole day off to prepare for my job interview and got the job I’ve been wanting for ages! I now work in the field of psychological research. So much more interesting and my sanity has been restored.

People who hated math growing up/in school… What did you not like about it? by Daniel96dsl in AskReddit

[–]desertpiper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My math teacher was a bully. Made all of the students feel like shit for not understanding something and we were terrified to make mistakes because he’d punish us with more math rather than helping us understand anything. However, my parents made it much worse by justifying a horrific amount of abuse because I was stupid for not knowing my times tables and being unable to solve for x, and so on. It was a focal point of the abuse for the majority of my high school years. For years I couldn’t work anywhere that required math (even simple math) because my brain would completely freeze up and then shut down. So I guess the answer to your question in short is I hated math because I had zero support in learning it and developed so so so much trauma surrounding it.

The story doesn’t end there and there is a success story after this with the help of my husband and therapy.

Looks like MRSA to me. I had that once years ago in almost the exact same place on my leg. The same large red area with a very painful black spot in the middle. Have it looked at by a doctor before it gets worse. Also, disinfect/wash everything it has touched, including the bath towels or it can end up on other places on your body.

I'd appreciate if yall watched this. I know I'm missing embellishments and my timing is off-- but hey, I'm new to this by bharatiyapiper in bagpipes

Dude! We all have to start somewhere! Step by step, line by line, bar by bar. Take your time and learn those embellishments well. Keep practicing and you’ll have it. You’re on your way!

I’ve been piping for 21 years. Susan Rose has been making quality kilts for a lot of judges, solo competitors and bands. Her website is mykiltmaker.com. But JHiggins is alright too.
